    • Thanks… Got one… Minimum buy $50…have to add a small item to it…

      • +1

        How about a bike pump

    • Do we need to sign up? I am not able to see any offer

    • It doesn't work on this item. Discount applies only on full price items

      • I think you did it wrong. You need a filler to get to $50. Unless they changed it in the past couple of hours.

        • -1

i added other item to make it $50. I tried to apply code and it has given me error to check the T&C's which lists that voucher applicable on full price items only

          • @bargain4all: I just tried it on another order (that I did not place) and it still works.

Maybe you are entering in the code wrong or the code you have is invalid

I can PM you a code if needed

    • How do I get it for $40

I just signed up for the enewsletter

  • +5

What is the point of having rear susp on these bikes? Just asking for trouble!

    • +1

Exactly.. I'd rather get a decent used hardtail or fully rigid..

    • +1

Hard tail + a good seat is all anyone needs.

    • -1

I think rear suspension on a bike is not a well thought through concept. When riding, the bike keeps bobbing up and down the whole time. Its great for those that want to burn fat going up and down but useless for those that want to go from place A to place B without looking like an idiot.

      • They have a lock out so the shock locks for road riding and light trails.

    • +1

Works well when climbing curbs and going over uneven pavement.

      • +1

IF it's a good rear suspension. If not, it's actually adding unnecessary weight and makes pedalling harder. It's just for the looks

  • +2

Reviews don't seem great. Seems like it'd be okay for bike paths and roads only and who knows for how long.

  • +9

Excellent find, will pay itself off in no time.
Can stop using the $3 community service bus to the train station each day & get fit at the same time, toss the gym fees as well.
Also potential for weekend travel, noticed at times others taking their bikes on trains & ferries.
    Thanks op.

    • +4

How am I supposed to have the energy to do that after I take advantage of the two double whoppers coupon?

      • +3

The double whoppers will give you plenty of calories to burn off.

  • +30

Seems like a great price, just don't ride it and you'll be ok.

  • +6

can't go wrong with this price, don't be too picky. useful if you accompany your kids on footpath ride, more than sufficient for this kind of job, bought one.

  • Probably good as a training bike to hook up to a trainer (after replacing the tyre obviously)

  • The reviews for it are scary. No thanks.

this bike is absolute trash, but its cheap. this is a great bike to buy for others so they can ride with you.

  • What do you expect for 40 dollars?

    • +29

Cyclops Dual Suspension Men's 66CM Bike

      • +1

        Thanks.

    • (ಠ_ಠ)…. Ummm

      ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • Thanks OP, ordered one.

  • +1

Dont do it, buy from facebook or gumtree. Would still need patience and price bracket of around 100-150 to get decent one though.

  • Wow even at $49 it's a bit hard to buy one after reading the reviews online.

  • +3

    …excellent price & specs for future hard-waste

  • Cheap for a reason.

Probably a bargain if you want it to ride down the street every now and then, but anything more than that and you'll probably be chucking it out at the next council cleanup.

    • Or sell it on gumtree for a profit!

  • +2

    good bike for junkies

  • Great deal for the price

  • $49 is a good deal.

  • I'll bite. OP's username checks out. Get it? It's 50 off.

A friend is asking if you can do hills with this easily enough (road). He wants to become an Uber Eats rider (package-moving artist) for only a couple of weeks.

  • I bet just GREAT price. What you get is what you pay even though its not ozbargains.

  • +1

Do not buy a bike from Target or Kmart….absolute trash, better off going second hand !!

    • Department store bikes are ok as long as you 1) realise what you're buying is a cheap bike and 2) spend the time to make sure that it's assembled properly, adjust all the parts correctly, lubricate, etc. They won't be great, but this is a full, working bike that you can buy for just over two hours of minimum wage income. Don't be so picky.

  • +2

Do not buy, bike will be horse shit.

  • Much better with something like this GT unit

    http://bit.ly/2nS8zCQ

    • Tidy

    • Can you recommend one in Sydney for under $100?

      Thanks in advance.

  • +9

    Junkie transportation starter pack.

All you need a pair of kmart everlast trackpants that never get washed, globe shoes, a pair of fake oakleys, no helmet, a BAC of 0.065 at 11am in the morning and a room temperature IQ and you're good to go!

  • -1

Buying a bike in spring. Couldn’t think of anything worse…

    • +2

What is your preferred season for bicycle purchasing?

      • +2

        Salt and pepper…duh

      • Was a reference to magpie swooping

  • +3

This looks like the kind of bike that you see a bloke in his late 40's-mid 50's riding around during the day, wearing a cap but no helmet, who may as well have a sign on his back saying "I've done my license drink driving for the 8th time so now I ride this to the pub"

    • +2

…or a teen to 20’s bloke wearing a cap back to front who has no hope of a future and will never be able to afford a car so he steals from older people’s houses who have lost their license while they’re at the pub.

  • The Phantom says no.

  • +1

You'll spend more time repairing the gears than you will riding it. I hope you like grease.

  • for $40, in for one! thanks op….

  • With dual suspension and steel frame this would weigh more than a Russian tractor!!!

  • +1

Good Home to the Train station bike

  • +2

    17.4kg

    Wow

  • I am training for tour de france 2020.

Did not have a bike before but I might win the race with this one ;-)

  • -3

Not sure if my phone is showing it correctly, but the category of the bike is in toys. That should give you an answer on quality. LOL

    • I'll agree. It doesn't look promising. But it's also $49. What's your neg based on, anyway?

    • +2

You're a little trigger-happy with your neg there.

It's still probably worth $50 to someone. Thanks OP.

  • Has anyone picked one up yet? Still waiting on confirmation and I ordered early. Probably don't have the stock to fulfill all of the orders?

And yes, I'm not expecting this to compete with a $1000 road bike, which if was posted on here, people would be complaining it's not as good as a $5000 bike

    • I didn't order online because the option to add to cart isn't there anymore. When I called up earlier though I was told that click and collect orders could go through to some other store even if your store has it in stock. And if that happens then it could take up to 10 days to be shipped to your store. Yeah, I know…

    • I ordered at 415ish yesterday afternoon, got a confirmation email that night but didn't have time to pick it up. Picked it up from my local store tonight. Fits easily in a 2017 lancer sedan.

  • Good for the inlaws over Christmas (if you never wanna see them again! :)

  • No stock left in Vic

  • Just received a cancellation email. Negging deal.

  • Cancellation email here too :(

  • does this bike fits in a toyota corolla sedan??

    • +1

….no, but the toyota corolla sedan will fit in the bike so youre good to go!

    • Carton/box dimensions are on the website

Grab a tape measure and see how you go

Else you may have to assemble the bike and ride it home

  • So I've got one home in the boot of my car, it remains to be seen whether it was $49 well spent or not. I live 15min walk or 3-5min drive from work so I figure this could be decent for that short commute instead of walking.

    • It's useful if running late but otherwise it's like pressing fast forward in that movie Click. Depending on where you live, this could be a good thing. But I wouldn't want to be one of those people getting home quickly to just walk on a treadmill, or spend 3 minutes locking up my bike in the underground parking lot lockers every morning and making helmet hair my norm to save 7 minutes.

      • Yeah its definitely situation dependant. When I walk to work I wear active wear and get changed and redeodorise quickly at work anyway - I could definitely get away with not doing it, but it sets me up better for my day. We also work in a relatively small building with a bike shed right across from the entrance and having long hair that I tie up helmet hair isn't much of an issue.

  • Received the cancellation email so a negative from me.

  • Hi
Did anyone got this deal? How did you assemble handle bar?
I am trying to put the handlebar, however the handle bar keeps moving though tighten the screw. Am i not doing anything right?

Please help how can i fix it?

    Thank you

    • I just picked mine up yesterday, I'll let you know if I have any ideas after I've assembled mine

    • Have you tried turning it off and on again? :D

    • +1

you have a quill stem attaching your handlebar to the fork steerer….
heres a tute on how to adjust & setup a quill stem & handlebars
