I've been using them for a couple of years now, they're still holding strong. In fact one of them is probably holding up an old dell 24" which is a bit too heavy for its "rated" weight but still holding well.
Is there a version for heavier weight?
This. I have a 32" that I wanna mount
Stop bragging.
i have a 3" i want to display but it only supports 17-27"
@HKS: I assume this is the one you'd get for the 32"
https://www.amazon.com.au/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-4-4-1…
Not a part of this deal. Supports 17.6lbs - my 32 inch curved is 14 pound.
A donkey?
That would be the F100A Model - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07496HG96?ref=myi_title_dp
Unfortunately it's not on special and is more expensive as these are much lower volume.
I hope this helps. Not really. I can get it direct from taobao.
@bestbarginever: How are you buying from Taobao in Australia?
@voltagex: Using a mail forwarder or if you have a chinese friend they can set up it for you.
@bestbarginever: Link? I don't speak the lingo
Anything suitable for a 49"?
cheaper here $79.95 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-F100A-Full-Motion-Gas-strut-…
Any chance of the F45 going up on your Amazon or Ebay storefront?
shouldn't be a problem, been mounting my ultrawides on almost identical unbranded ebay gas arms for 2 years.
To how many kg? I'm looking for am arm for Acer Predator X34P (about 9kg I think)?
@smarti77: not sure, should be the same monitor just rebranded, so no significant difference.
@smarti77: 9.8kg with the stand; 6.76kg without.
Mounted my 32” Phillips monitor with this, no problem at all.
If it's the Philips BDM 3201F, it weighs 5.20 Kilos without the stand, and 6.5 with it on, so if you were really lazy you could leave the stand on.
There is! And I bought it. Can't remember the model number though.
I would not recommend it, a part of it broke on my first day of use and the number of cables that can be run through it are really limited.
noticed the price yesterday, very happy with my dual mount version that was just under $60. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/481559)
Was thinking about getting the single but I needed one that could go a lot higher to position above another screen.
almost,
that doesn't look very ergonomic though, the main monitor is way too high.
and why would he display the 16:9 content on the 21:9 monitor when all the rest are 16:9??
Jesus, time for an intervention.
Nah, he needs one higher, this is him.
I recommend 2 of these over the dual version, as I have the dual screen version of this the elbow sticks out. With the single (this item) you have more placement options.
Yeah I second this - I bought the dual and realised You are a bit limited. Bought the single one for another desk and it does seem like it would have been a better option.
The other thing is once you put those cable guides on the back of it….that thing is not coming off!!
And also, check you have enough room under the desk for the clamp. My desk has a board running across horizontally from the legs so the clamp hit that board under the desk. I just have it hanging off a little bit and did it up real tight. It was only holding one monitor so hopefully its fine.
So you're saying the cover where the cables run up through is difficult to take off? So you can pull the cables back through it again? Hmmm…
Nah those are fine. It's just a cable guide at the base of the clamp. The cables don't go inside it or anything. So dont worry about not getting cables out. Definitely isn't a reason to not buy at all.
What do you mean the elbow stocks out?
Looks similar in the photos? It's about placement.
With the Dual screen unit if you have both the screens at the back of the desk then the elbow needs room at the rear of the desk.
Look at the picture and imaging moving the monitor down and directly back.
Using 2 single units, you don't have to have the mount directly behind each screen.
Pop into office works and look at how these work. They won't be the same quality but you get an idea how they work and room required.
What would you recommend for a 34" LG 34-UC97 Ultrawide which is 8.25kg in weight.
shouldn't be a problem, been mounting my ultrawides on almost identical unbranded ebay gas arms for 2 years.
Anything like this for a 29" ultrawide monitor? This looks handy to use alright.
I have mounted the 34" wide kogan on this, no problems
Yep, they've dropped in price since The Phantom's awesome post, though i'm less sure they sold out - you may be thinking of the dual-monitor ones. Hang on, you're the vendor - i guess you should know…
Great mounts, have a dual and going strong 12 months in.
I bought one for my LG 24” gaming monitor,it didn’t fit, so i grinded the sides down and now it fits perfectly! Not sure I’d want to use it on an expensive monitor. But everything else works great
What didn't fit? the VESA mounting ports?
Some monitors have an indent for the VESA mount to fit flush with the rest of the back, restricts the size of the plate that can be attached without using standoffs (or a bit of grinding, apparently).
Anyone know which laptop tray this is compatible with pls?
How are these as far as sturdiness goes? If I had one, I'd be mounting a $900 monitor to it… not keen on it falling off or anything.
OP, I have a glass desk with thickness of just 0.5 cm. Will the clamp work and/or has enough to grip?
Thanks
Id consider putting acouple pieces of wood between the clamps so it's not directly touching the glass
How does this compare to the Pro Display XDR stand?
Not much
was a bit disappointed at the height… some mods required.
Yeah they don't sufficiently extend vertically in my opinion - at least if you are on the tall side.
yea… the dual was way too low for me…
good quality. Easy to use.
Single arm might have been better…
Is "gas strut" a fancier way of saying "crop dusting"?
It seems my 34" monitor is over 7.5kg……
Bought the dual arm version of this bracket, installed it yesterday and so far so good! product feels sturdy, installation can be a bit tricky depending on the thickness of your table top (I have an IKEA table top and I had to put a book between the clamp but not a big deal)
Did you adjust the bracket part? you can unscrew it and move it up into the other holes to make it the right depth for your table?
Also eBay has it for $39.95. If you have the discounted gift card, it will be almost the same price.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm//332079823501Am I able to remove the fugly logo sticker without leaving a sticky residue?
They aren't stickers, they are like hard plastic logos - Just get a black pen and go over it
Great item. Bought one from ebay almost 3 years ago for about $50-60. I'm constantly moving the monitor around depdning where I am sitting (desk chair vs bed for movie/tv) and it's still holding strong! I'm using a 29" ultrawide monitor. Only down side is the cable management isn't great and if you the cable to be moving free you might need to expose a few cables from the casing on the arm.
I have three monitors, would having three of these look too much? Or should I go for a triple monitor mount instead. Don't want to damage my ikea karlby.
As far as looks typically the monitor blocks the view of the arm holding it.
How much room do you need underneath for the screw for the C clamp? My desk has only 2-3cm at the back underneath before a wall/screen.
I had a look and the cable cover is the furthest part, 3cm would be enough.
What do you recommend for my Philips 4350uc? 43inch 9.4kg?
Anything for a non-VESA monitor?
You'll need a shelf.
For non-VESA monitors you're normally stuck buying an overpriced custom made VESA adapter like these: https://www.amazon.com.au/stores/node/7282149051
Or a univeral one like this: https://www.amazon.com.au/VIVO-Adapter-Monitor-mounting-Stan…Thanks a lot, I have been waiting for a price reduction since they are ridiculously overpriced.
Some monitors, depending on their design, can have VESA mounts added cheaply if you can do a little DIY.
It's just a matter of drilling four holes in the back of the case and attaching a metal plate inside the case using bolts. You can buy the plates with VESA holes already drilled. It looks professional unlike many adapters.
got this from the ebay store. works great on my samsung 32". very quality. much mount.
You got this specific model when it says that it's for up to 27' monitors? I'm afraid to mount my LG 32 inch monitor that is on the way because it's 6.5kg which is exactly the maximum this mount will withhold.
mine is 27 inch but 7.3 kg..wonder if it will be alright or not
Just buy the Kogan one. It supports up to 8.5kg
Bought a couple… not sure why…
for those dual 4k monitors you're about to buy
My biggest gripe with these is the max height they can go.
The bottom of my 27" dell 2019 monitor is just 22cm from the table top - top of monitor sits 58cm from the table top
The bottom of my 24" dell 2017 monitor is just 25cm from the table top - top of monitor sits 56.6cm from the table top.An additional 2 to 4" (5-10cm) of height raising ability would have been far better for myself from an ergo perspective. For the time being, I have lowered the seat height, but I will likely mount the arm on a timber block to gain the additional height.
Check your current monitor setup and see how far it sits from the table.
You can add a VESA-VESA height adapter to the arm such as this:
https://www.amazon.com.au/VIVO-Adjustable-Accessory-Individu…
Oh nice. Thanks. Didn't know they existed.
You'd need to be careful it didn't block ports though, and it's limited to 15cm increase in height which should be enough for most people.
For reasons given by @mehannon i generally prefer the pole-mounted ones (so you sort out your vertical height and horizontal extension independently), but that contraption could change that…
Saw F80 gas struts and thought this was for an M3
Might need/use this. Or never. Thx OP!
Does anyone know if this will support Acer Predator XB271HU?
Is this good for going flat near the wall? My table isn't that wide and i want the monitor as far away from me as possible. So as close to the wall behind my desk as possible. Is this good for that while still being quite adjustable?
Would love an answer on this too. I have a small thin desk with the monitor sitting on it right now. Would love a monitor arm to prop it up and give me a bit more desk space.
I don't have this particular brand arm but one that is the same design. With the monitor turned parallel to the arm there would need to be about 9cm clearance (between the rear of the monitor and the wall).
It looks like based on the pictures that the arm can be swiveled to the side, so the arm collapses to the wall. However, the arm may stick out the side a bit, hoping my 27" is wide enough to cover it.
At $35 i'm pulling the trigger and will see if it's any good.
Had a look at the F80 but went with the F160. Not as great as the $58 deal but for $77 I'm happy. Dual monitor arms.
https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01EHQL3LW/ref=pe_2361882_28238…What's the normal price on this? I bought this exact model in August for what seems the be the current price right now.
I heard these actually go alright.
Unfortunately, the edge installation thumb screw is so long it's gonna get stock underneath my VariDesk 48". Neither am I happy to screw holes in my VariDesk for grommet installation. So, as attractive and sturdy as these monitor arms are, they are probably not for me. :(
Mine is 9.4kg… :(
Thanks a bunch, I just ordered mine. Plan to use it with my all-in-one rig it at the end of the bed.
I love how the North Bayou logo is a blatant rip-off of the New Balance logo.

Great product. Paid $40 a pop recently and they were well worth it (so far - can’t speak for long term quality).
