These popular Gas Strut Monitor Mounts sold out in about 6 hours recently and are now back in stock. Great for monitors with a 75 x 75 or 100 x 100 VESA pattern and between 2kg and 6.5kg in weight. Perfect for those that want a more flexible mounting and positioning solution for their computer screen. Includes clamp mount and grommet mounting hardware and very easy to install.
It's decent for the price. I bought two of these a month ago and had a few hiccups:
Despite being a universal VESA mount, it's too big for monitors with recessed mounting cutouts so I had to find longer screws for it. It's my secondary monitor and very old so I'm not particularly concerned if it fails but if it were my primary I'd probably have sent it back. Still, here's hoping there's no problem with the way I've mounted it.
My primary monitor falls well within the listed weight limit but I had to tighten it a lot or else it would tilt downward under the weight
The plastic covering the bolt for tilt tension snapped immediately on one of them, no biggie
Still prefer this over spending more than my monitors combined value for a single mount from Atdec or something, though.
