Is the $28 120GB WD Green SSD a deal or a meh? Ìt is listed twice in the table.
fixed
not sure if this is the best price but i bought an Acer Predator XB271HU for $720 shipped
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/27-Acer-Predator-XB271HU-IPS-LED…VG271UP was $449 a while ago, so not a good deal. Same 1440p / 144Hz.
Xb271hu has gsync
freesync is nearly as good and it's $270 cheaper
im not paying $270 for a marginal improvement
@maybe a bot: Key point there ‘nearly’
Freesync is not as good and depending on your preferences, gsync can be significantly better. You might not think it’s worth it, but plenty of other people do@paul09: Darn tootin
I'm not in a hurry but is $68 for Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD a good price or has it been cheaper? I can wait a couple of months and look for better deals if there is likely to be one.
I usually use the MSY Price List to estimate floor price, so given they're selling the 1TB for $69 i would say 'yes'.
Lte dongle not included… No deal
Will this work with the Optus AC800S?
Yeah, there's a list of compatible 3g/4g dongles here:
https://www.dlink.com.au/CompatibilityList-3G-4G-LTE-RouterThey start from about $30 for the ZTE 823 (eBay)
E3372 available from Kmart and Target for $19. These come factory unlocked too.
Thanks OP I purchased the DWR-118. I just hope the Tax Invoice is dated 30th September or earlier otherwise wont be able to claim the freebie.
I started a claim for the freebie and it wants the serial number of the router - so I'm guessing there is no actual way to claim the free item in time.
EDIT: Just read further below that claims can be lodged after 30.9
E3372 available from Kmart and Target for $19
Good luck finding stock!
@NeBlackCat: I had no problem finding stock at my local kmart a few weeks ago.
I even found clearance stock of this bundled with with a 4g ZTE Zip for $22 at my local woolies just this week https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/511897/opt…
@unity1: Actually E3372 doesn't seem to work well. The E8372 works better. Available from Target and Aust Post for $39 https://www.target.com.au/p/telstra-prepaid-4gx-broadband-us…. Can be unlocked on ebay for about $11
@unity1: I like how searching for "E8372" on the AusPost web site returns:
Nice to know their IT staff are as switched on as their local postie. Though at least they've never tried to run over my dog.
BTW you can buy them already unlocked for $39. Free shipping with EB+.
@NeBlackCat: That one is showing out of stock. Which one are you actually looking for?
@unity1: I can't find stock anywhere around me. Target, Big W, Woolies, Coles, OW - nowhere. Been looking for weeks. :(
Love your work @scrimshaw.
For non-members of eBay Plus, keep an eye out for a possible $20 voucher offer to join during purchase.
How are those ethernet powerline adaptors?
I highly recommend the TL-PA9020P-KIT. It's the cheapest from Wireless1 eBay https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482941
What's the differences?
Only difference is the maximum speeds the powerline adapters can talk to each other at. AV600 is quite a bit slower than AV2000 standards.
TL-PA9020P-KIT also allows AC passthru — you'll notice that there are power sockets on the back of the unit, while the cheaper units don't have it.
@scrimshaw: Oh, so you can still use the power socket? I assume the minimum speed would still allow me to watch Netflix in a different room on a set top box.
@YellowKnight: It would, the AV600 Adaptor is still definitely enough for video streaming purposes. For smart TV / TV box purposes that's probably all you will need.
@scrimshaw: I have AV500 kits and experienced two major issues so I ended up using just wifi AC:
- The high speed mode (actual 500Mbps mode) simply doesn't work in my house. Could be house wiring or the distance. It constantly shows the adaptors are operating in low speed mode.
- When using IPTV, after a while, the setup will lose Internet connection (my guess would be the chipset was old and cannot handle lots of simultaneous connections).
I was using AV kits a few years ago, better than wireless N no doubt, but for old houses like mine, if you can get wireless AC (or mesh) going properly, you don't really need the AV kit.
The new chipset probably can address the large number of simultaneous connections issue, but issue #1 is house dependent.
Is the code working? Getting "This code can't be applied to your order." for TP-Link TL-PA4010KIT
Should be working. Try signing out and back in again, making sure you're on eBay au and not UK / US.
Thanks, it was the NZ thing a week ago
Interest in getting the Corsair Headphone.
I like the inclusion of the "mediocre deals" section
Is the router with the free camera worth it? Has anybody used both of these devices
Probably not worth the router. I bought a second hand nighthawk M1 for $80 and get close to 350Mbps download speeds
is the camera worth it?
Read the reviews
It's a mediocre camera and not worth the RRP.
To claim the IP camera
“To qualify for this promotion, you must submit your proof of purchase / invoice as well as a photo of the cut-out barcode from original product purchased.”
Promotion finishes 30/09
How am I meant to get the barcode by the 30th lel
If you read the conditions list that you pulled that quote from, you'll notice "6. Entries must be received by D-Link by the date specified for the particular promotion as shown on the https://www.dlink.com.au/promotions web page.".
If you then check the specified page you will see: "For purchase between 1/07/2019 - 30/09/2019 (Conditions Apply). All claims must be received by D-Link no later than 14/10/2019."
Beautiful, thanks Jenna!
Being in WA, i probably won’t receive it until after the 14th anyway :D
Is it saying Code has expired for anyone else?
no problem for me.
Yep I'm getting that too.
Thanks OP for the post
In the t&c it says that computer alliance website is a partner. It doesn't say the computer alliance ebay store, does anyone have confirmation that it is included?
Also the t&cs say your purchase cannot be in conjunction with other offers unless specified. it looks like using the pcasave code will invalid the offer.
You will get a normal paper invoice for your order, the eBay store will not be mentioned on the invoice and nor will the fact that you saved 20 percent on the order. In fact the invoice will show the full price
I know this because I ordered an Asus monitor and used the receipt for claiming on taxes
How long ago did you order? Let's hope it is still the same
9mths ago according to my receipt . I guess you could call Computer Alliance tomorrow to double check to make sure you get a proper invoice
are you claiming the dlink ?
has to lodge by 30/09/2019 with photo of product barcode
EDIT: all good, should be 14/10/2019

Great rep for the speedy response.
Been browsing for a gaming monitor for my son.
Looking at the MSI AGC32 monitor i think kinda suits my budget.Anyone could provide advice if this is good?
Reasonable for the price in terms of specs?Budget is around $300. Less is preferable. Lol
30 plus in would be great.. so i reckon this is one is ok.I see him playing GTA and other online games from time to time.
Not sure who negged you, but why have you been browsing gaming monitors for your son?
Any advice/reviews on the bonus IP camera please?
Worth a shot, at this price you could always sell either the camera or the router and keep the other item ~free.
Wow only 2 left for the corsair h70 headphone.
PCASAVE isnt working anymore on the cheapest dlink router
