Great deal, I just spent $1001 to maximize the rebate. If any mac users is interested, Harris tech has MS office 2008 Teacher & Student edition (install upto 3 mac's) listed at $196, take away PayPal 10% + MS fuel voucher $40 + Flybuys, you end up spending very little :)

I think you can pay via Paypal but you won't get 10% cash back if you choose to pickup.
PayPal cannot be used for item pick up. You have to pay their delivery fees.

Well I called paypal who didn't know anything about it, I called harris who were telling me they are waiting on a rebate from microsoft. When I questioned them about what this has to do with microsoft and why they had broken the purchase agreement by not paying the rebate by the 31st of July, things started to get vague and I wasn't given a plausible answer.
They are however looking into it and will get back to me soon with what's going on. I'll post again when I find out.
Well got off the phone, and they have told me that the payment will now be made before the 15th August. Supposedly there was an unavoidable delay possibly due to staffing issues :|
Anyway, I guess another two weeks to wait for the money.
Let's hope they keep their promise.
I emailed Harris and this is the response I got:

That's pretty ridiculous to expect us to chase it up with paypal.
Harris was advertising this special - and the reason why we bought from them was to get the cashback.
Very irresponsible of them to act like it's not their problem.
Yes, maybe paypal are the ones paying the cashback ….. but the way I see it - this was a promotion and agreement between paypal and harris - not us (the end customer) and paypal ……. so IMO it is Harris's responsibility to chase it up with paypal.
I'm sick of this kind of garbage from retailers. They made an agreement and haven't fulfilled it. I expected trouble so copied the terms and conditions off of their website (which, of course, aren't there anymore) and they state: "The promoter is Harris Technologies" so it is them that are responsible not PayPal, they've received an email from me and will be getting a nasty call on Monday.

I sent them an email Friday night pointing out specific terms and conditions from above and my intention to lodge a complaint with the ACCC if I didn't receive payment by close of business today. I've just received payment in my PayPal account now.

Good on you guys, same to you all, I rang up both Harris and PayPal and same story applies, none of them is taken any responsiblity. I then emailed Harris and have to show up in person at a store to know the progress. However neither parties have replied me nor I see my cash back. The only thing I got out so far is the email has been escalating to a supervisor level.
Come on Harris, can't believe they have been contacted crazy and make no action, I might have to try threatening them with ACCC to get my money back!
