The Reo runs Android GO, probably has 1GB of RAM and paired with a 1.5ghz MT6739 with only Cortex-A53 cores. So If you had to buy one, I'd get the Reo as it has more up to date version of Android.

Alcatel U3 has 1GB of RAM with 1.1ghz MT6737, probably running a very outdated version of Android (Marshmallow according to ROM downloads), I think "Nice to hold" is probably the nicest thing you can say about this phone

    Good for fuel lock.

    • What's fuel lock?

  • The description makes me think it has 8Gb RAM…

  • Any one know if they are network unlocked?

Hoping the $19 option holds up to playing videos. Might need to reconvert them into lower resolution to fit them onto the 8 GB(and give the device a change to process).

I remember this one time I converted down a 2 hour movie into a 60.2 MB file. 130x74. 3kbps. Audio? Kept that at a whopping 64kbps.

I just use these as background noise as I fall asleep.

    • After updates on the Boost Alcatel U3 3G you are left with 2GB of usable storage space. Does contain Dual sim and an SD card slot, and a removable battery. Phone itself would be terrible to use for it's purpose, but works fine playing videos and even handles youtube 480p OK. Battery takes ages to charge, headphones don't have any indication which is left or right. Screen has terrible viewing angles. Speaker is loud but muddled - on the front though, so good direction.

  • are these any good as a pocket wifi hotspot?
