    Commence price jacking in 3-2-

If I ever came into possession of the Death Note, the first name I would put in there would be "Jack D. Price".

      • Not One Piece?

      • +3

        umm…. yeah, about that….

    • Not even. Some stores are permanently jacked.

Eg Sydney mobile currently has PILOT20 code going. When that finishes they'll be under PSPRING. Selling the Bose qc35 ii for $430. Everywhere else is less, JB Hifi and Myer have them for less at $395. Amazon have them for $380 ($369 yesterday) free delivery.

    • +4

check the code: Price already SPRUNG

  • ebay may as well just do a flat 20% off all the time.. why bother with codes

  • 20% off New Apple Products 😛

  • +1

OP, any idea why ozplaza doesn't participate in such events?

    • +14

Takes them too long to jack all their prices…

      • All the other sellers must spend all their time jacking before the sales

  • +79

That racist.. Could be he or it.. Hang on.. Something not right here..

          • +3

@aladdin: Hang on, since when is gender a race!!

Saying something like this seems to be "strangist". ;-)

        • +1

Hang on, was she complaining or complimenting?

      • +5

        Let the jacking begin

        • +16

          ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
          Way ahead of you

        • Exactly I'm now getting sick of these offers.

    • Thanks

    • Might as well change your OzB name to SearchLink

    • +4

Please forgive my ignorance. eBay search on promotion seems like a pain.

      • +2

        That's intentional

        • +5

Honestly, I reckon making deal searching much easier is in their best interest anyway since it might net them much more sales instead of frustration. Maybe it's just my naive thinking though…

          • @lesher: No, you're probably right, lack of understanding of their buyers IMO.

    • Am I stupid and cant see it or is it that you cant search for specific items in these sales. Im trying to find out of there are deals on Aqara products.

      • +1

Are you trying via mobile browser? They often don't work for me, I just checked using the First link above and it works via Desktop (you can tell your mobile browser to load the Desktop version)

        Aqara Search Result

Wish AddictedtoAudio came back to these sales, had some items missing but prices matched their site with no jacking and had some pretty good deals. :( Was saving for their next participation but now gone.

    • Unless you want local warranty or you're buying speakers, Amazon or buying overseas is almost always cheaper compared to A2A though?

      • A2A have a storefront so you can go in and buy things.
When buying online, they don't ship using fastway (like Amazon).
Sometimes they have massive discounts like 40% off certain items.

      • Yeah I want the local warranty for $1,000+ items so. Also import duty for overseas deliveries for expensive items.

      • Yeah, speakers are pretty much foolproof old tech, they rarely break.

I scored a beyerdynamic T1 for $700 odd pesos back when eBay had their first sale. It was worldwide too, stacked it with a yank shop on sale.

"Peter's of Kensington" are pushing their own 20% off code on the e-bay menus until 19/9 but I couldn't particularly see any bargain to post.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/petersofkensington

  • +4

Oh good, people can buy the Melbourne uniform.

  • Off topic.. Not sure what the code is suppose to be.

    P Sprung?

    Psp rung?

    • Pee Sprung… its like pee pee boy tea set (google it)

      • Dont have to google it. We have one at home.

        • Well cultured I see

    • Price mate…..

  • Hanging out for 20% off Shaver Shop

  • Hi good old friend Jack =)

  • +2

20% off Coles groceries combined with ebay plus free shipping sounds alright.

    • Cannot see any free shipping, shows $10 for me though I am on plus.

      • 'Coles on eBay
Plus members enjoy Free Delivery on orders overs $49'

        • +1

In terms and conditions it says max 10 items per transaction..?
Does that mean we can only buy 10 things from Coles? IF so kind of a bummer

          • @Red Pandas: I have 16 items in my Cart, under $100 and it's still free delivery for me ..

Edit: reread your comment. Yeah I think the code only applies to less then 10 items per transaction. I guess if you do two coles shop, each over $50 after discount, it works.

Came here to warn people about (they're the same mob)
    - Discount Brands Australia
    - knives online
    - Chalet Online

Even though they have heaps of positive feedback, check their ebay negative feedback about providing a fake tracking numbers via couriers please then sending a dummy parcel with tracking via auspost to a random address in your suburb so eBay sides with the seller.

I tried reporting them to eBay but they continue to operate…

    Also see
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/387117 and google knives online for their google reviews.

*Mods - please sticky comment, thank you.

I went to the Price Jack Zone
I went through the Price Jack Zone

I looked up 5 or so computer parts I had just ordered through the ebay plus deal. All of the products are comfortably 20% or so higher than their normal price. It seems whenever there is a 20% off to select retailers (not all of them) there appears to be a general increase on all prices in the sale.

    • +1

      The price jack… Its real.

  • Damn, no Dyson V11 deals :(

  • They just keep reducing the max discount. If you decide to buy a 65" TV, most likely won't end up 20% off.

  • Need more Hisense 65R8!!!!!! so gutted I missed it :(

    • -7

      Sell you mine for RRP

    • I am refreshing eBay page since then :( Missed it too and have been keen on it.

  • Any specials on the Nest Google Home Hub Max?

  • +4

Marvel at the price jack on this pram

    • +3

Jeez, average sell price of $279-$299. Jacked to $599.
      That’s $473 with the 20% off wtf?

    • supply and demand ;-) only two left so of course you have to pay a premium LOL

      • Price jacking is psychological manipulation, nothing to do with supply and demand, which is why it's illegal.

      • Hate to see the price for the last one.

  • Coles as in "colessupermarkets"? Hopefully they don't price Jack. Damn, no click & collect. $10 delivery without eBay plus.

  • Is there anyway to get the search links for all stores that I can search for particular products?

    • Check Murpha's comment in this post, that's the best you can get sadly

  • +3

Well the 3900x's are back in stock at Futu… for $1029. Retail is like $789.

  • +6

over the weekend spent $2200 on PC components and found tech.mall (RAM) was the only PILOT20 20% deal that was better than the PEACHY15 15% deal (shallothead (SSD), digilifeonline (CASE) and computer_alliance (MB, GPU, PSU & CPU)). All prices were below pcpartpickers prices after the free Ebay Plus delivery. so there are bargains to be had but only for a few dollars under normal prices IMHO.

    • I did the exact same thing as you. Checked all the prices and most were actually 10% higher.

  • Lets vote to BAN ebay fake promotions like this!

    • How do you ban these promotions? Unless they're taken off by the mods, not much you can do

    • dunno about banning them but i reckon the ACCC might be interested in sellers who price jack during promotions….

  • anyone seen a seller selling the 2018 Ipad 32gb?

  • Is Appliance Central and Appliance Giant better priced than ApplianceOnline and TGG in general?

  • What's going on with first choice liquor ? It's says page cannot be found… Oh noo

  • First time I've seen Coles on a 20% off selected sellers deal.

    • Mostly pantry stuff only.

  • Why can't Ebay just give us a sitewide discount?

    • Because that will cost them more money.

      • Oh man :(

    • +2

They were world wide when they started doing these sales. Stacked with decent currency exchange and no gst on goods under 1k… those were the days

    • Cos a sitewide price jack would be too obvious ^_^

  • Cmon ebay you can do more than $300max discount.

  • Some of the prices at these sellers are so high that its not even funny. Looked at a decent UHF radio and I am in shock.

The seller is on a current 20% off ebay code so I think the jacked price will stay as is.

  • +3

So many price jacking activity, it's not funny.

  • VGA Card looking at 2 days ago, 1299, now its 1500. I can buy it at a retailer for the same price as the "20% off" sale - which I'd rather do just out of boycotting this crapz.

  • Any gift card deal or something to buy iPhone 11 Pro Max once available? :)

    • +1

there's a 10% off gift card deal on ebay UK or US right now. Better be quick.

Ebay AU deals always exclude GCs.

  • +1

C'mon DCXPERT, gimme that Sigma 16mm so I can use these eBay gift cards
