    You'll probably have to get it sent to your accommodation in NZ prior to leaving as it takes a week according to comments on Cheapies.

    Alternative option, Free 2Degrees "Visitor" SIM, Can Be Sent Free to Worldwide, Including NZ Addresses

    Cheapest 30 day SIM only deal from Vodafone NZ is $19 and only gets you 1.25Gb and 200mins (as used by my wife when she visited NZ family recently).
