  • People still paying rrp?

    • Would love to know where you do not have to pay rrp for a brand new front loader. If you can get it cheaper, please do tell.

      • Good.u edit your post and delete rrp.u were saying rrp $595 before and yes nobody paying rrp these days.

        • Edit: Removed other comments regarding RRP. I checked it up and I understand where you are coming from now.

I just bought this machine 26/6 at Harvey Norman for $600 (reduced from $895). Not happy Jan - just missed out on the $100 cash back. This is good price for this machine.

Also 4 free Canningvale towels (RRP $110) with the purchase of this as per Bonus Offers on Good Guys website.

A word of warning! Make sure you get extended warranty. So far my Samsung has been fixed twice. Once under factory warranty and once under extended warranty. Both for the same fault. The heater element wire keeps burning out. The thing is the machine is always used at the lowest heat setting so it's not like it's heating water for an extended period of time.

    • Which model do you have?

      • Can't remember the model but it was the middle of the range model. When I got it the extended warranty was only $99 (from Appliances Online). Money well spent.

        • Do washing machines have a heating element? I thought they just plumbed into the hot water tap?

Most front loaders these days just have a cold water inlet (prob due to international/one model for all design?). Found this out when I switched from my old Hoover top loader and was looking for a newer more efficient replacement (which seemed to lean towards the front loaders). I think a couple of the top of the range ones (expensive) give the option to use a hot water inlet but that's all.

Most front loaders heat the water somewhat to help dissolve the powder (since they use less water) and activate enzymes for a better wash result (less residue).

I bought this machine yesterday and Good Guys had it delivered and installed within an hour - outstanding service. I paid $595 and on top I applied for the towel set & $100 cash back. Doing my 2nd wash with the machine now and I am impressed - a great deal IMO :)

    • was the installation and delivery included in the price? thanks

  • nice find thx OP
