One hell of a post :-) Thanks!

    • chonk

  • Do you have any bike u lock on sale?

  • Anything for motorbikes?

    • +1

Not much mate, sorry, we are a push bike shop, not motorbikes.

You may be interested in our FIST gloves though, a lot of motorcross riders wear them. We only have limited designs and sizes left, but they are below wholesale cost, so if you like them and can find something in your size, you won't buy them cheaper anywhere: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/brand/fist/

One and only actual motorbike product I have is this: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/renthal-suzuki-front-sprocke…
Got ordered ages ago by accident. But the odds you are after that exact thing is a bit slim

  • Ugh website is broken. If you sort then move to page 2, the sort is lost. Re-sort and you're back at page 1.

    • +2

I can't replicate that issue sorry. Tested it just now and seems to be working for me, and never had anyone else say that.
If I sort by lowest price for example, and go to page 2 and page 3, then it is still the next lowest, and so on.
Are you using an obscure browwer, or have unusual security settings or something?
If you could give me more info about your brower etc I'd be happy to look into it.

      • It happens for me, in Chrome. When moving to page 2, it doesn't append the "&sortby=lowest_price" parameters.

EDIT: looks like uBlock origin was breaking it, as happens more and more often these days.

        • +1

The parameter doesnt' append to the URL normally anyway, but the functionality will still normally stay.
Glad you worked out what browser plugin on your computer was plugin was causing the problem.
Perhaps Lawyerz may be using the same one?

        • ah yes I am using ublock as well.

But when I try to load the site in Edge, without any plugins, its still exhibiting the same behavior.

Firefox in Incognito mode does seem to work. so strange.

          • +1

@lawyerz: Unfortunately it looks like you are correct - I can replicate the issue in Edge. Sorry about that - I'll have to raise a case with the people who develop the software platform we use (Neto), to see if there is a solution. It does work in normal Chrome though. :-(

            • @cyclestation: no problems :) It does work when I disable the ublock plugin in FF, and as you said Chrome so all good :)

              Good luck with the sale!

    • Happening to me now too. Both chrome and safari. Wasn’t doing it earlier. Very annoying. Any fixes yet?
I don’t think I have any u block on phone. Was also trying on MacBook

      • +1

Sorry you are having an issue.

To be honest, orders are coming in thick and fast, messages here are coming thick and fast as are customer service emails, and the phone is running off the hook. A difficult to solve technical issue isn't going to get looked at on a day like today. Thanks for your understanding. Suggest trying a different brower in the short term.

  • Hi OP - How long it will take to receive (Ord N:N79313)

    • +1

      Hi there,
Thanks for your order, you really did go shopping!
All orders that are placed by midday will be shipped today.
Freight to you I would estimate at around 2 days, 3 at worst, so I would expect you to get your order Friday or Monday.

(This doesn't apply to you, but for anyone else, orders placed after midday will likely be dispatched tomorrow.
If any items have a handling time listed this will still apply, but that isn't any of the items in the sale, just other products on our website overall)

      • 9erences order has already been dispatched, but for anyone else reading this, we have now got a bit behind with packing, orders have been coming in faster than we can even pick them. All orders will be dispatched as soon as possible and the whole team is working extended hours, please rest assured we are getting to everyones order as soon as possible. Thanks for everyone's patience and understanding, we appreciate it! :-)

        • But did you pay them overtime?

          • +2

@first in line: All our staff get paid properly, no need to worry about that.
And I was here picking orders at 1am last night, but that's ok, because I'm the boss. lol.

  • Thanks OP. Can anyone recommend a decent set of lights?

  • How thick are the shirts are they like warm enough for winter to go under a jacket or some other special bike enthusiast fabric.

Also is it $9.95 Australia flat rate shipping like how much would shipping be for 5 XL of the $2 men's shirts.

    • Hi Alien,

Which shirts are you talking about? We have like more than 100 different shirts and jerseys on sale…

Re shipping, yes the shipping of $9.95 is a flat rate to anywhere in Australia if you spend under $99. If you spend $99 or over, it's free shipping.

      • I just realised you are probably talking about the $2 mechanics shirts.
No, they aren't thin fabric - not cycling fabric at all, they are just a cycling brand. They are a twill fabric, so not mega thick, but just like a normal polycotton fabric not lycra or something.

        https://www.cyclestation.com.au/cube-bike-brand-work-shirt-b…

        • These particular shirts are now all sold out. Thanks all.

          • @cyclestation: Any chance of a future restock?

I am thinking of maybe buying 20 if possible.

            • @AlienC: No chance whatsoever. These were sold WAY, WAY below wholesale cost, as they had been sitting on the shelf too long, plus it's an eye-catching headline deal. Couldn't even made them for that price, and Cube has been discontinued in Australia anyway.

              • +1

@cyclestation: All good thanks for responding doesn't hurt to ask otherwise I will always keep on wondering.

Thanks yeah I thought that this might be a shelf/stock clearing deal and not a continual one.

All the best with future endeavors.

                Bye.

  • Any recommended waterproof/resistant front & rear lights that are on sale OP?

  • OP can you recommend me some very comfortable bicycle seats, don't like the stone hard ones but something like the cushion soft memory foam type.

I like the adult size for the diamond back seats.

Let me know what you got as I need 4x.

    Thanks again.

    • +1

Unfortunately a slightly tough question, because everyone has a different idea of confort with bike seats, bodys are all different, and it depends on the bike and riding position. Some will say the bigger and more padded the more comfortable, others want something smaller because a seat that's too big is uncomfortable to them.

But if you are talking a very padded seat, how about these: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/giant-contact-city-saddle-la…
Or, for a womens one: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/liv-womens-bike-cycling-seat…
You could also consider these which are cheap and on sale: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/azur-bike-seat-pro-range-bet…
And these aren't on sale but are another good option: https://www.cyclestation.com.au/acentia-bike-seat-saddle-gem…

      Hope this helps.

      • I hope this is not a dumb question lol… does it matter if I were to get all the womens one on sale

Does it really matter or will affect the male's comfort?

        • +2

No, but women tend to have .wider hips and wider ischial tuberosities despite being shorter than men so unless you have wide child bearing hips then you might not find them that comfortable.
Seats are very subjective and the usual recommendation is to borrow a bunch from the bike store and then buy one that you like, however I haven't ever seen a bike store in Australia offer such a lending programme.

        • +2

Obviously all people are different, but unlike with some products there is generally a good reason that seats for men and women are different.
A biological male has very different pelvic bone structure to a biological female for example.
I'm not an expert on such things, but we do have a professional osteopath/bike fitter who operates out of our retail store, and his advise at the minimum is to go for a seat that matches the sex of the person riding the bike. Of course for more advance fit a professional bike fitting with someone who fully understands human biomechanics, but that's out of the reach of recreational users on a budget.

          Serrin's advice is good.

    • I'd love to help but ive gone through heaps of saddles myself :( its incredibly subjective. Even ones that has heaps of positive review online may not suit you at all.. All i can say is, trial and error. and good luck!

One that I found was a good balance is a Velo saddle on Reid bikes, Osprey range specifically. but i cant find the exact ones on sale anywhere!

    • +1

Yes they are. Description could be better!

  • So the Craft jerseys are only $5 in the medium and $10-20 in other sizes?

    • +4

My apologies - I don't know what happened there. Doing too many markdowns too late at night by the look of it.
Give me 10 minutes, I'll fix that, they should all be $5 on the ones linked above.
I'll reply again when it's fixed.

      • +2

I've now checked all the ones above and fixed any with issues. So go grab some $5 jerseys. You're bleeding me dry though, these are WAY below cost. Lol.

I went through a few of other Craft clothing items in the sale and the rest all seemed pretty right, but I'll get one of the staff to do a better check. If there is anything that you think looks wrong feel free to message me or PM me.

        • "You're bleeding me dry" somebody get this man a medic! where is the kid who loves to donate blood!

Hmm whats wrong with the -ve vote 😒 either you got a competitor who doesn't like you for discounting or he didn't get what he wanted on your website.

          • @luffyex2010: The bleeding me dry was just a joke! Lol.
Happy to get the sales, less to stocktake before the move!

I wondered about the downvote too. Some people sure are hard to please!

  • +3

Awesome prices. Just bought a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed ;)

    • Thanks!

  • $9.95 standard shipping, free for over $99 order value

  • +2

For anyone after an awesome light for the road, the Cygolite dash 600 is an absolute steal!

    https://www.cyclestation.com.au/cygolite-dash-pro-600-usb-re…

  • OP could you give some advice about glove sizes? Do you use the formal US sizing for small medium large etc.?

    • It varies a bit depending one which brand you are talking about.

We aren't the manufacturer or importer of any of the stuff we sell, it's all name brand stuff we buy from Aussie distributors.

So in general yes it would be normal Australian sizing, not tiny Asian sizing or something. Not sure if this answers your question, but in general yes, gloves are pretty true to Aussie/USA/Western sizing in most cases.

  • +1

Cool, just bought two saddles that i didn't need. Thanks guys

  • +1

    Thanks OP,
Got a few spare parts and spent a lot of money I didn't plan on spending.

  • Hi OP, are the small sized helmets suitable for kids? They're the same size (50-55cm) but I don't know if it's recommended for children's use. Thanks

    • Yes, no problems. Fine for kids.
The Rail model is particularly popular with kids.

      • Thanks, about to buy one.

  • Any good backpack deals?

    • +1

No general backpacks on sale, sorry. We do have a small range if you just type in "backpack" in the search box, but none that are included in the sale.

There are some Camelbak on sale if you want hydration backpacks.
      https://www.cyclestation.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=camelbak+pack

  • Grrrrr. Added some shimano cleats in my basket at $17.95. By the time I logged in the price changed to $25.95. Hard pass on this sale now, wiggle is cheaper.

    • +1

That shouldn't happen. We haven't changed any prices whatsoever since this was posted this morning, other than a few jerseys downwards that had the wrong pricing.

And there aren't any at $17.95. They are either $15.75, $17.75, $18.75. So not sure what you are looking at.
      Sounds odd

  • Hi op, great post! Would you be able to let me know which pads I should get for these brakes TRP Hy/Rd Disc cable actuated hydraulic brakes. Cheers

  • +2

I noticed on your invoice that you have an @pushys.com.au address. I didn't realise you were part of the Pushys group?

      • +6

RRP On that light is $59.95. This one is often sold well below RRP by different retailers.
I didn't even advertise it in my above post, as it's probably not one of the best deals. But trust someone to come up with a negative comment just because someone else had a product at the same price (4c more). But feel free not to buy from us!

        • I don't understand why I was negged. RRP is on this product is subjective. A quick Google search indicates that the RRP is between $26.99 and $71 across retailers in Australia. So I think what you should say is that "your" RRP is $59.95 thus you've discounted it by ~50%. Pushy's and other retailers have have a different RRP in line with your sale price.

The best deal you have i.e. Lezyne Macro Drive 1100XL is "on sale" $134.95 (RRP) down to $90 plus $9.95 shipping. Bike Bug's same product https://www.bikebug.com/lezyne-macro-drive-1100xl-light-p-82… is for their RRP of $94.98.

I am not negging your deal because someone had the same product at 4c more. I am negging it because I went through all 24 pages trying to find a genuine bargain, and it seems the prices have been inflated and now you are having a massive "sale" with prices in line with other stores in Australia.

          • +2

@solidice: RRP is the price recommended by the manufacturer/supplier, not the regular price a store is selling the product at, it is not subjective.

          • +6

@solidice: We haven't inflated any was prices from our normal price. I did all the pricing myself personally, so I can say it didn't happen.

I absolutely categorically deny putting any prices up just to put them down, didn't happen. The was prices will generally be either manufacturer RRP or our normal sell price. The normal sell price ones are the prices we actually have these products listed as if not on sale. We don't claim that every price of every product when NOT on sale is cheaper than everyone else. No one can have the cheapest everyday price on everything.

Some of the deals we have a fairly good, some are stupidly good (like 1/5 of wholesale price good with some stuff).

There are 1400+ products on sale, you picked one product that was NOT even listed in the post above as being a standout deal, then made a general negative statement all our prices are high because you found something for 4c more expensive elsewhere one what wasn't even a featured deal.

We aim to put genuine actual RRP from suppliers on all products. But with more than 20,000 products (including variations), mistakes do happen. No idea if there's been a mistake on the RRP of the Lezyne one or not, but to be honest not my priority today to look into it.

            Have a great day.

    • -6

      Busted! XD

      • +4

        Not busted, nothing to bust.
Our physical retail store in Albury NSW was the first Pushy's Bike Warehouse. We purchased it 9 years ago, continued to use the brand for about 3 years, and then rebranded 6 years. We have no financial connection to Pushy's whatsoever even though this is an historical connection.

        • funny….I was in Albury the other day and Pushys still has its store listed on internet sites as being there. I was walking in circles around the block trying to find them despite always going to your store when I am there.

Actually some locals still address your store as Pushys. Clears things up a lot. Great store by the way and good luck with the move

          • @slipperypete: Thanks Pete.
Hard to clean up everything online especially with some of the weird niche directories, they have a long memory.

Just for the record, our nice big store near the railway station isn't moving. The online store outgrew the area in that building we were allocated around 2 years ago, and moved into a small warehouse in an industrial estate in Albury. We've now outgrown that, and we are moving the online business again. But the bike shop itself is staying put.

    • +2

      It does?
Is this in Paypal or something? Be very interested to hear where this is, as any link to Pushy's is VERY old info.

To cut a long story short, we purchased our retail store in Albury NSW from Pushys 9 years ago.
We then rebranded 6 years, and are not longer affiliated with them whatsoever, and haven't been since 5-6 years ago.

      • +1

"You sent a payment of $50.95 AUD to WOLKI & SON PTY LTD DBA Cycle Station ([email protected])"

It's the default email address for your Paypal account.

        • +2

Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix that.
That email address hasn't even been active for a few years! Oops.

          • +1

@cyclestation: Probably still active and Pushys are cleaning up on your enquiries 😀.

            • @dan76n: Lol. Maybe! Trust OzBargain to find any issues with a website! lol

    • Would you mind forwarding a copy of the email to [email protected] ?

In our Paypal account I can't find anything other than [email protected] and [email protected] as email addresses, so it's got me bamboozled where this really old info is coming from.

  • Noticed some items are on their eBay page - https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/cycle-station which includes free shipping and coupon usage.

    • Yep, that's us.

A lot of the items are on our eBay site on special too - we are running basically the same deal on eBay as well, just with postage added into the cost.

You will notice that most of the products are $9.95 more expensive on eBay, since it's free postage there.

So if you buy ONE item, it will be the same price to buy on either. Eg $5 on the website, $14.95 on eBay, and yes you can use coupons, there's a 5% off one there.

If you are buying MORE than one item, will work out cheaper on the website, because freight is flat rate, and if you are spending over $99 on multiple items freight is free on the website. Hope this helps.

  • Hi guys, I am just wondering how warm are the jerseys and base layer ? Comparable to thermals ?

    • Depends which one you are looking at.
The normal short sleeve jerseys aren't warm, they are just thin lycra type material.
There are some long sleeve ones that are warmer.
The base layers do provide warmth, not sure what to say specifically.
If you give me a couple specific items you are looking at I can provide more comments.

These are all brand name products though, and the original RRP's of the clothing is genuine. We don't even have our own "home brand" or anything like that.

  • Hi OP, great deals. Interested in Giant bib knicks, but any comments on fit? I can't find any info on whether they run small/big or are true. Thanks!

    • Hi there.

The Giant Bib Knicks and Jerseys have on the tag two sizes, for example Asia: Medium, USA/Europe: Small.
All the sizes we have listed are the USA/Europe sizes (eg Aussie sizes), so will be pretty good fit.

  • Hi ,
COULD I PLEASE ADD TWO MORE ITEMS TO MY ORDER?I just placed it , thanks

    • +1

      Hi Sal,
We have had over 300 orders this morning, many with 5, 10, 20, 30 items, so our small team is running around ragged trying to get all these done, and they are coming in faster than we can pack them. So that's unfortunately a bit difficult.

Send me a private message with your order number and it MIGHT be possible, depending on where your order is in the queue. But I can't promise. Thanks for understanding.

  • I've got a trek Xcaliber 7 with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Any suggestions on disc brake pads?

  • +1

Bought 2 jerseys, 1 bike cap, and 1 bike helmet.
    Thanks OP!! Cheers

  • +1

Thanks op, some great deals there

  • Would glove sizes be the same as disposable latex glove size?

    • +1

      No idea sorry.
They are pretty true to "normal" sizing, but I know nothing about disposable latex gloves
