Is Emu a brand by itself? I don't see UGG anywhere in the webpage.
Why would you ever want to buy UGG brand boots?
Looks like some random shop selling Uggs, and there aren't many of them around!
Ugg boots are ok for inside only. I have a pair of Boggs that are warm and good for outside as well. Not sure why Ugg boots cost around $100!
There are many ugg boots cheaper than this that are synthetic - not sheepskin. You pay more (normally $75 upwards) for sheepskin ugg boots.
Except at Big W — where sheepskin ones are $45
Emu is just one of many ugg boot brands. Ugg is a general name for these types of boots. Good price for Emu ugg boots, but there are a few sheepskin ugg boots around that are cheaper than these.
Oh..i thought UGG was a brand name.
It is. Trademarked in the US and EU but not here due to being a common word (there was a legal dispute over this and the aussie manufacturers won in Aust but lost in the US). The UGG brand name is held by a US company who are called UGG Australia here. :)
See: http://www.lawyersweekly.com.au/blogs/folklaw/archive/2009/1… and http://www.saveouraussieicon.com/
(no, not associated with any sheep related company - just happen to know this stuff :)
There is also a documentary called 'The good the bad and the ugg boot'
Two quite popular brands and good quality ugg boots, EMU and UGG Australia. I own a pair of UGG Australia and the condition is still quite good and the sole of them have lasted quite a while, not like the cheap ones. If you are looking for uggs in my opinion, go for EMU or UGG Aust.
Ugg Aust? Not in a million years. Would rather buy from an Australian company rather than the US one that tried to sue the local makers for using OUR term.
Ugg boots got expensive over the years.
Where are these made?
