Maybe a bargain if Optus is your only option.

  • $85 per month normal price

  • 24 months sound tempting, PLS provide more details when you have time, example how much per month to consider as a bargain.

  • Add 4G to title

  • Awesome deal

Works out to be just about $75 per month.

I am waiting a decent 200G mobile plan like last year.

If nothing like that i would probably use boost instead

    • This deal is not a mobile plan deal.

      • Optus mobile plan can be added up in the data pool. For an extra sim card, you can use it as a 4G boardband. Hence the mobile data is portable, means you can take it and use it nationwide.

Currently i have 400G data in datapool as i signed up a mobile plan and ipad plan. I sold the devices, ending up paying $70+ , i know it is 100G less, but i can use it everywhere not only home

  • Hmm might have to jump on this, great deal!

I got this today - 500GB of fast 4G - Works out about $75 per month. A good deal for someone who has the only other option of SkyMuster (vomit) or 6mbit ADSL (puke).

My family used below 200G a month, so I got iPad Pro 2018 64G Wifi+Cellular.value at $1,449 with 200GB 4G data (full 4G speed) for $75 a month early this year on Optus. I think that is a better deal. Refer to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/417935

      • could you put your ipad sim card into a 4G router for the same effect as the current deal?

        • Yes, I put the SIM into a 4G router for home wifi. No any issue for me.

      • Agree!

      • Yes that was a great deal. Long expired now

  • No Optus Sport or Fetch?
Am on Optus ADSL2+ With these inclusions anyway, also jumped on a prior iPad deal which I use in house or when travelling to hot spot
    NBN is coming…..

  • Anyone knows when does this deal end?

    Thanks.

While I was in Harvey Norman for the Optus Galaxy S10 deal the sales person told me about this deal and that it included a $100 EFTPOS gift card. Also, after 3 months you can send the modem back to Optus and cancel you contract with no questions. He said that they confirmed it with the Optus rep.

Needless to say, I signed up, got home and cancelled my NBN connection.

    • Cheers for the info, but I'm not convinced that you can send back the modem and get a full refund.. I think you should confirm that directly with Optus.

Edit: I found the $100 gift card offer in the catalogue (last page). https://www.harveynorman.com.au/catalogues/current-catalogue…

      • From the T&Cs in the Harvey Norman catalogue:

There are no cancellation fees, simply pay out the full remaining cost of your device which will include paying the monthly credit value that Optus was going to cover.

Is $100 GC and 3 month free stackable when purchasing the 24 month plan via HN?
Can someone pls confirm how the download speed during evening peakhours? I am downgrading from NBN to Wireless due to circumstances out of my control so not sure how this will workout?

Also, can I replace their modem with a better modem or a mesh network?

      • I was dubious and I hope it’s all good in 3 months. Worst case I break even including the gift card and the NBN costs I would’ve paid anyway and I’ll sell the modem.
