Interestingly, internal codes of conduct explicitly prohibit members from receiving any perks (in NSW anyway). Like, not allowed to get FF points when travelling for work, not allowed to extend an interstate work trip with a night of self-funded accommodation, not allowed to have Xmas parties, etc etc. The government is scared that taxpayers will have a cry if firefighters are seen to get a benefit from the public purse. But when it comes to politicians….
What's in the bag of goodies
The lady at the door mentioned cooler bag and some other stuff inside it. Can email and find out more about it.
Does it include nurse?
A toy one, maybe.
I should hope so

No SES???
The only agency that actually has emergency services in its' name.. Let alone that most of the SES are volunteers. I guess I'm missing something.
The poster doesn't actually say emergency services, it says heroes. I guess SES aren't heroes these days :(
SES members aren’t performing their role day in day out full time. Granted they should get something but shouldn’t be compared to those emergency workers doing it full time.
Yes, but they include volunteer firefighters.
SES members are performing a full time job, AND THEN also find time to help the community. Quite frequently on the expense of their family and leisure time. I would think it is superior compared to other who actually get paid to do their work. Saying that, I also definitely appreciate the "real emergency workers" effort and contribution.
I have an ambulance membership… Does that count?
Below is the actual Facebook advertisement, advising which Costco stores are taking part.. Etc..
Please read it..
as some people ask questions which the advertisement has advised.

Just attended the Epping Costco event. Haven’t seen Costco that empty before; nice having the space to roam.
For future reference:
Breakfast provided included muffins, croissants and danishes, all from their bakery, as well as yoghurt, fruit and various juices or water.
Goodie bag consisted of a brown paper bag containing a pack of shitake mushroom crisps, a Masterfoods spice mix/rub, a Masterfoods schnitzel crumb mix, a muesli bar, a couple of chocolate-coated macadamias, a couple of packets of single-serve cereal, a small plastic toy and a small bottle of water (total value maybe ~$15-20). No previously mentioned cooler bag/roast chicken/bagels were given, though I don’t mind as the chicken and bagels are difficult to finish for us).
Pretty cool event and grateful Costco does this. Saw lots of happy public service staff.
Oh nice, they certainly deserve any perks they can get.
