They dropped off nurses and added Correctional Services
Guess they more heroes then nurses

    • +7

Was just going to say that, where are Nurses?

      • +6

Yep all these services dump their work on Health services and no recognition!
        Poor Form!

      • Nurses included too…not just advertised

        • +1

Has to be advertised or they could be refused at door

          @asa79:
Go to local junk shop and buy a toy plastic Sherriff badge

        • @hardya: It says you have to show your ID, all government employees have a name badge with photo ID

      • Where are the customs?

Literally saving people from the drugs, weapons, etc coming into Australia. Saving boat people when they go overboard trying to get into Australia.

        • Australian Border Force aren't too loved these days :P

Their bonehead Minister (Dutton) wouldn't help their cause

    • +1

They still kept the old image of medical still in it as well

    • +2

As a nurse I'm disappointed. I don't know if I'm considered a hero but my job ain't that easy. Just got home from night duty, glad I survived my shift

      • +1

More then correctional offices. Nurses and doctors keep people alive how is that not more heroic

      • +2

You are certainly a hero to us. My man just did a stint in hospital and the nurses were fantastic. Knowledgeable, empathic, friendly and a wicked sense of humour. Thank-you for doing your job. I just wish you got better pay for it.

        • Thank you. We always say it's part of the job. Grateful for the opportunity to somehow make a difference. Our EBA runs until 2022 and the pay is not too bad, at least in the public sector. Can't complain as I came from overseas where pay really sucks.

      • Costco mentioned in their fb that nurses are included too

        • +3

          Probably after backlash

    • +1

I guess they feel there are too many people that they bottom line can handle if they include nurses. Imagine if they included teachers as well? They also do an invaluable service for the community.

      • What about plumbers they are heros too.

  • Ugh.. 30 minute drive for free pizza.. do I? don't I?

    • +1

Good timing. Now I can get the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s Wireless Mouse $53.99 without paying the $60 rego fee. 30 mins it's not that long of a drive btw ;)

      • I know, I've had my membership for more than 2 years now and it's great for a shop, but thursday nights aren't easy for me. At least there wouldn't be (too many) civilians there.

    • Plus tolls for most

      • Yeah that's true I sometimes jump on Eastlink if the traffic is bad

    • +6

Turn on your lights and siren. You can get there in 15 mins.

  • Is it free membership or only free entry to the night.

    • Free entry

Unless you enjoy being queazy, avoid the combo pizza. Go with the chicken. Your guts will thank you.

    • Never had a problem with the Combo pizza, but the food isn’t going to win any health food awards. The smell of the onion grinder makes me feel sick.

  • What about politicians? They think they're heroes.

    • What about some of the Ozbargain community? They think they're….

      Oof

      I am.
