    nope, not magnetic HighAndDry. It's stainless steel internal with beech wood exterior.

  Cheaper here $3.96 includes GST and delivery.

  It most likely won't even have the logo stamped on it.
  Just like this deal here that didn't have the Highlander logo on it, the rep most likely bought it from this Australian seller here for $3.99 and then posts the deal for the bargain price of $16.90 delivered!

  Almost all these reps posting so called deals on Ozbargain are just buying stuff of eBay, AliExpress and Alibaba and are on selling to Ozbargainers.
  These reps hardly if ever post a deal where they are selling it at cost, and really never below cost.
  Cut the middle man out and go to the source and score a bargain from everyday normal prices at eBay, AliExpress etc.

    thanks for mentioning this, however, i think there needs to be other considerations here.

    if you check our track record as a lister on here, we've been very upfront and previously quoted and listed items on alibaba and ebay ourselves. in fact, our deals have been given kudos for transparency by ozbargain reps.

    we are aware that there are different qualities of these products produced. we think that's important to bargain hunters.

    with the product you posted:
    - that doesn't come in a gift box.
    - the bad quality ones don't have smoothed edges either.

    for a fathers day gift, getting the bottle opener in a poly bag isn't great. that's why we see this as materially different and worth the $1 difference.

    this is of course ignoring the benefits of prime (which isn't available with the other product)

    if you don't value the gift box, packaging or the quality of the product, then i would agree with you and advise taking the other deals you mentioned.

    Agree cheaper elsewhere and really, as a father's Day present does anything express your feelings towards them, than giving them a cheap bottle opener, albeit with smooth edges?
