Other than saving you some work this has a bigger and better burrset and thus will give you more consistent, better quality grounds than typical ceramic burr coffee grinders (like hario and porlex). If you have a really high end hand grinder then it might not make that much of a difference.
Bought it about 4 months ago and I love it, use it every day.
My only issue is that I've only been drinking with a Delter Coffee Press at the moment. I don't have a full machine or anything. Wondering if a Lume or something would be a better option, rather than having a giant benchtop grinder for my one cup :P
I bought one about 6 weeks ago. Great, highly recommend.
I don't have a machine either, use a french press. But then again I have at least 5 to 7 cups a day.
Na, just get an electric driver for your manual grinder.
My Hario uses I think a 6mm hex… think of the saved counter space and kitchen neatness + it's not exactly attractive.I use this every day. High quality. I wish it uses ceramic though.
And I also wish it has wifi and google home support. And auto-clean mode…

I just use my NutriBullet…
I use vitamix!
For anyone on the fence about the BES870. It is a fantastic unit. Have had ours for a few years now and still use it daily. Aside from semi regularly cleaning, which is quick and easy anyway, it hasn't missed a beat.
Can anyone who has this tell me the best number for Aeropress and mokapot?
I found 36 to be the perfect spot for my aeropress.
Barista Express slightly cheaper here if you have to take into account shipping and potential cashback.

Is this worth it? I have a very beefy right arm from using a manual grinder and I am wondering if its worth an upgrade.
