Begun, the tourism war with Hong Kong has.

    • not even a competition, IMHO Singapore trumps HK

  • Does 'twin sharing' require two people on the booking? It's a bit ambiguous given they have 'single' rooms that are more expensive.

    • you need 2 bookings to get the twin share room.

        Well shit.

    I've utilised the previous deal.

Just a word of advice - the Stopover Package Attractions (ie. https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/au/plan-travel/packages/s…) is only valid for the amount of days/nights that you book with the hotel/s. Eg. If you only book one night for a $1, then your attraction card will only be valid for one day (expires the day you check out). I got caught out as I only booked one night (at $1) and then changed to my own accommodation for the rest of the stopover/trip.

    • Really? How does it expire? You can't use it? Last time I ask their CS rep and I was told I can use it on the check out date so pretty much 2 days, the day you check-in and the day you check-out.

So if I have 3days stopover can I book this $1 deal for 2nd day? Or it must be the first day?

  • Man… If I knew it was $1 I wouldnt have booked Qantas…

  • How to do it with Scoot? and know which flight eligible?

It has to be a Scoot operated codeshare flight. So only if your flight also has the SQ code are you able tor redeem this offer:

I used this same deal 3 years ago on the way through to Istanbul. It's a cracking deal. Me and a mate went to nearly every attraction we could. And the accommodation is fine too. We wanted separate rooms so we had to pay an extra fee - something like $50. Still a great bargain.

  • Nice offer! I'm traveling alone with 20 hours layover at Singapore, can I use this offer?

  • Damn…I booked my SI flights via changi 4 days ago and dint notice this offer.. both legs layover not more than 5hrs…sighs. if i change one leg for get this offer definitely will hit heafty fee right? Currently it doesnt reflect in booking option (add stopover)may be due to short lay over

  • does this work if you're flying Scoot?

    edit nvm: see above

  • Does anyone know if I have four people in my booking, can we get two twin share rooms?

    • +1

If anyone else is wondering, I called up and yes, you can get multiple rooms in groups of two so the only issue would be with solo travelling.

  • Does anyone knows if i book Virgin Marketed and Singapore operated flights? would this deal be valid there?

    VA SQ code share flights

  • I called singapore airlines to book this for parents. They said stopover should be more than 24 hrs!!.Incase anyone is thinking to book this.
Note: I called them 4 times and got different answers every time

1st call - we will check if we can book it (Call disconnected)
2nd call- check with changi airport.I will get them to give u a call- never got a call—
3rd call- check with australian airport - I will get them to give you a call—never received a call—
4th call - Not possible it has to be 24 hrs stopover (Well its not one of the T & C's ).I got a response we will get it updated but thats what my fellow mwmbers advised me.
