  • 30% of items I have bought from Grays have issue.

  • Do these need an amp?

    • Yes, they are passive speakers.

  • Could these be used in conjunction with the Denon 2020 speakers hooked up to the AVR-X1500H to get 7.1 sound ?

  • Price drop on Zensor 1’s down to $228 Delivered from $236.
Vokal Centre now all sold out.

    • Apparently Dalis are amazing value at this price point. I've even heard they trade blows with the KEFq100s and Yamaha HS8s so its an amazing deal I would say.

Sad that not many people know about how amazing this is :(

      • Yes I would say they are a great entry-level bookshelf speaker (same with KEF Q100).
Although you still have to pair them well with the right amplifier to get best out of them, I have heard Dali’s are quite forgiving in this regard (quite easy to power & match up).
KEF on the other hand is known to be quite picky with amplifiers & do much better running from high-power amps at low-gain. I think this difference in character is to due to the drivers in both speakers.
I would recommend the Zensor 3’s with their larger cabinet over the Zensor 1’s.
The Zensor 1’s truly are small bookshelf speakers (small cabinet size even for a 5.25-inch driver).
