Hello fellow Oz Bargainers,

Found something to do for free next weekend.

Australia Museum has free entry next weekend 17-18 August.
I booked my ticket already (need to book via their website), and the entry is for 2 hour limit.

    The museum is closed from Monday 19 August for 12 month renovations so last chance to see it for a year. Also if you become a member of the Australian Museum ($98/year for a family) before 30 Aug, they will extend your membership until 31 August 2021 (due to the renos) and get free entry to Powerhouse Museum/Sydney Observatory during the reno period and entry to other interstate museums e.g. Questacon in Canberra. Not bad for $49 a year for the family.

      After reading the small print, it appears that Sydneysiders are excluded from free admission to the Questacon. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

        I read it as AM members that live within 100km from Questacon can’t have free entry to Questacon, so Sydneysiders are ok.

        I think it’s just free general admission. I would assume the tours are extra

          but Day admission is Free anyway. So this means we aren't really getting any benefit with the Sydney Obervatory.
