$390.45 with Officeworks pricematch, which I got at my local (Brisbane CBD) with no problem. They have plenty of retail stock.

postage $8 to WA
School Locker has a shop at Curtin Uni with stock, so presumably that means Officeworks can price match locally and not take shipping into account?
Tried this at the Keysborough (VIC) store and price beat was not approved because it is only accessible to students.
Where does it say only accessible to students? They are targeted to students, but anyone can buy from them (as far as I'm aware). They locate themselves on/near campuses. They are like the CO-OP Bookshop….
Who knows what nonsense they’re spewing. I’ve just called another store and they need to add $8 shipping for price beat because it’s their policy.
Just got an Officeworks pricebeat for $390. Click "Check store availability" on the School Locker link and show Officeworks there are stock available at local stores to avoid the additional $8 shipping fee
@Gordon88: Must just be my local stores then. Super frustrating to see staff following policies of their own.
@garffi: If your local store is the Officeworks (Keysborough), then I would agree that these guys are quite quick to avoid any price beat, and (in my case) even accept faulty items under warranty.
Called the hotline and got a price beat with no problems. Even provided same day delivery straight to my house. Definitely avoiding stores now for price beats in the future. Thanks OP for the deal :)
I called Officeworks and got pricebeat to $390.45.
Delivery is free, no need to pay $8.32gb too small for use in school tho. Ours require atleast 64gb ones for the kids
For this model there is only 32GB and 128GB. Classic Apple.
I also think 32GB is too small to use ,so i buy the 128G one.
Thank you OP! Missed out on the BigW Ebay iPad deal but this made up for it! Cute dog btw
Anyone know of 128gb deals?
Any really good PC version that is better than this for a simliar price?
Answer: any tablet out there! Not really a good enough reason to neg this deal, mate. Or are you going to go around negging all Apple deals because there is a better priced windows/android version? You’re comparing apples to oranges.
I was having a dig as my "waka-waka-waka", reference shows, more seriously though here are a couple of random respected comparison articles that look at the merits of both…
@marcozmitch: so why the neg?
@slipperypete: I have an opinion that if it is to be for school use for younger people ("the school locker"), that spending half as much money (or less) on a device can be a wiser use of money, for a person learning to carry around an (for some parents) expensive device.
I have learnt this myself in terms of tablets and laptops, that I had to learn how to use and look after the device first, before I could just go out and buy an expensive device and take care of it the way it deserved to be.
Also the ecosystem is a very important consideration. See below…

@marcozmitch: Most school are ipads. Don't accept androids, so maybe a more intelligent response would be better
@asa79: I will take your word for it, in the meantime here are some other articles to consider:
(and I think my response is quite intelligent. I have not identified another reason; an open source computer system is ultimately better for society, because this is more contested reason).https://au.pcmag.com/tablets/47770/the-best-kids-tablets
https://www.choice.com.au/electronics-and-technology/tablets…@marcozmitch: Good luck with that, but you know nothing about the education system it shows
Bought last night with Office works (1300 phone number) for $390.45 and pickup from nearest store. Good price. I would say. Thanks @Cooperdog
What's the normal price?
Not the cheapest, was $373 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/464731

Good find
