Not to bag on the post but to anyone considering it please read the reviews on the site. Commenting to help save someone from disappointment/having the gazebo collapse on them on a windy day.

    • thanks for the warning.
how do you tell a good gazebo? they vary so much in $

      • Tbh I don't own one but was thinking of getting it until I scrolled down to the review section. Sorry I can't be of much help as I've never owned a gazebo before. :/

      • Thats something I have to figure out myself, but the place I would start is with the thickness of the steel frame. If a child could bend it over their knee, chances are it won't withstand a gale.

      • I think its all in the roof structure. The more metal bars the roof has, the better the gazebo. Some of them look like a maze of bars up there, and some just have the 4 main bars with ome or two exta support bars.

        • good tip, tho you can't see in any product photos

    • I’ve got one. I haven’t used it in super windy conditions, but it’s held up to a reasonable amount of wind.
It also doesn’t like the rain that much.
On the positive side, when packed down it’s a lot smaller and lighter than the heavy duty gazebos. It makes it a lot easier to fit when I’m packing for camping. Overall I’ve been happy with mine and feel it’s been great for what I bought it for - which is occasional camping.

  • For those considering a gazebo at this price I would recommend the Kings/4WD supacebtre gazebos. About $129 retail but regularly down to $99 and I’ve seen them as low as $89 if you’re not in a hurry….

Good quality for the price. We’ve used ours at Phillip island and it’s bloody windy there. The side wall didn’t last because it was like a sail but gazebo itself held up well after 3 days.
