Delter Coffee Maker $39.90 + $9.95 Flat Rate Shipping @ Alternative Brewing

Delter Coffee Press is the first coffee maker deigned from the ground up, to solve one of the biggest coffee brewing problems-agitation. Uncontrolled agitation results in bitter coffee and inconsistent extraction. Delter’s unique Jet-Seal keeps the brew water and coffee grounds separated preventing uncontrolled agitation. Water contact is activated by actuating the Jet-Seal with pressure, offering complete control over water flow and agitation. The result is an exceptional cup like no other. Less bitterness with more clarity.

A unique Jet-Seal separates the brew water and coffee – stopping unwanted agitation and offering next-level brewing possibilities. The Delter Coffee Press is the first coffee maker to use a process we call “Injection Brewing“, a completely new brew method we developed after countless hours of experiments. This works by infusing hot water into the coffee grounds under pressure, for improved control and consistency.

Push water under pressure through coffee grounds; Isn't this how all good coffee is made?

Overall, seems like a clone of AeroPress (or maybe it's the other way around?!

Very different in terms of the coffee brewing - in short, when you use the AeroPress which is a popular coffee maker, the most common method is called the "inverted method" which is when you turn the unit upside down, add coffee and water then let it steep. this allows the coffee to brew for longer creating a different coffee.

Where as the Delter, you as you mention, has the injection brewing which is direct water to coffee contact then into the cup. Much less time brewing which results in a different cup, while all the same caffeine levels ect remain the same.

      Hope that helps

Honestly, I've used my Aeropress no different to a French press.
Coffee in the bottom, add water, push down, drink. Never tried the inverted method.

Anyway, my Aeropress broke, and whilst these are nice, I've switched to the Nanopresso for portable travel espresso.
That or the Handpresso are great solutions.

        • I found the nanopresso underwhelming and sold it.

sadly not sorry, just as we are Brisbane based!

        • Have wondered, being Brisbane based, whether you do a free pickup option for Brisbane peeps?

          • @Whorl: Ask keen to hear the answer to this. I’m flying overseas for a month on Monday and would love to grab it prior to that if possible!

          • @Whorl: I'm pretty sure they do - Located at Darra I believe. I think I've seen on previous posts they were happy for pickup.

            • @Fergy1987: Well that would be awesome, live pretty close to Darra. Have considered since of the sales previously but put off by delivery costs.

        • I am also interested in pickup to save on postage costs

          • @StevieRay: Hi All!

Sure can, use "pickup" at checkout and select free shipping. Can be picked up 1 hour after placing the order.

@AlternativeBrewing: Thanks! I was a little confused until I read the FAQ (fancy that!) which pointed out to enter “pickup” as a coupon code. As soon as I did that, the free shipping option appears. It stacks with other deals too.

  • but this is always the price of this?

Lets get some deals on the starter pack :P

Has been bouncing up and down yes :)

      Ask, shall receive: https://alternativebrewing.com.au/product/delter-complete-st…

Use, "DS" for $10 off either size, for 48 hours!

      • Well if all I had to do is ask - Can I also have a 50% off coupon :D lol

        • +1

haha santa will be around soon with this for you :P

      • I’d been hanging out for exactly this after the last deal ran out of stock. This seems fair enough!

Given you’re BNE based, do you do store pickup? If so, from where (the Darra address is very convenient for me)?

      • Hi rep, I already have the rhinowares mini grinder that I bought from you guy last year. Love that it fits neatly into the otherwise unused space in the aeropress plunger, does it fit the same way into the delter for a tidy compact travel kit??

      • Ooh missed it by that much! Any chance of getting another code? I'm keen, also got my eye on the Aero electric bundle.

  • Hmm, tempting but any chance of free delivery? $40 delivered would seal the deal for me.

OP, how do you rate the rhinowares grinder vs the porlex mini grinder? Do you have any combo options with the porlex?

  • I've used an aeropress for many years now and this looks very similar. OP, what are the differences again? You mentioned the inverted method (which I use), however how does this affect the functional difference of the Delter VS Aeropress, assuming steep duration is a constant?

    • Search for previous Delter posts, it's been discussed.

  • Hi rep, are you doing any deals on aeropress anytime soon? A colleague has one and mentioned I should give it a go and get the prismo attachment as well.

I am keen, but I'm not fully invested yet.

  • Interested in purchasing. Any further discount codes? I tried D and DS, neither worked. Thanks!

    • Use the website chat, they supplied me with a different working code.

      • Will try. Thanks
