Thought this would be a pack of 10 or something, seems pretty expensive.

    • Agree, the RRP is listed as $55.95!,

Excellent product, just a bit hard to clean. Good price except for the shipping…
What's your refund policy - can you return to a store?

Edit: sorry do you have shopfronts?

    • Hi wolfshooter,

As long as the product is unopened and still in the same condition it arrived we accept returns. You would just need to pay delivery to send it back to our warehouse.

We are an online-only store so we don't have a shopfront.

      Hope this helps.

      Thanks

    Good for sous vide maybe?

    • +1

Yup. Sold by anova for exactly this reason.

    • I have a couple of these for sous vide. They're pretty small and it's a little hard to get stuff into them. The material is a little thick (ironically silicone is a temperature insulator usually) compared to plastic. Also hard to clean as noted above. Other than that they're OK in a pinch. Just some of the tradeoffs you have to make for not wanting to use plastic.

FWIW I recall paying about $17ish each for mine during some eBay deal or another.

I'd say you have the small ones. These are almost A4 sized. I just place them in the dishwasher across two slots and they clean perfectly. Only hard to clean if by hand.

        • Oh OK. Yeah mine are about the size of a sandwich.

Looks like it's as functional as Tupperware but way harder to clean and 100 times the price. Ok it's silicon not plastic but plastic is great for well considered use. Like tupperware. Just not throwaway use.

This product sounds ideal if you're an eco warrior and have a butler you don't like.

    • +1

Ummm… I think you mean silicone. And presumably the butler would have to be paid an under award wage in order to cover the costs for this sort of over-engineered approach.

    • These are flexible - perfect for sous vide use without the single use plastic issue. They are definitely not Tupperware replacements. Being flexible means you can store odd shapes and squeeze out air as much as possible. It's most likely not for you but why make disparaging comments?

  • OP do you have the smaller versions on sale?

    • Hi wolfshooter,

We don't currently have any of the smaller versions on sale unfortunately, but we will be adding these to our range in the coming weeks.

      Cheers
      Team @ House of Knives

  • Have a couple of these. They are pretty good for Sous Vide but they are a bit thick to get all the air out. The seal seems to work quite well.
