IMHO, if you want your rechargeable batteries to last and perform better, get the MAHA Powerex ones.
this is also necessary to have, in case for some reason you managed to run the rechargeable to very very low (kids toys), your smart charger won't even start charging the battery. These "dumb" charger will put some charge, then you can move it to your smart charger to complete.
Bought one this morning. The quality is really good considering this only costs 7 bucks and comes with 1 year warranty certificate. There is a switch for Test, Charge, and Discharge.

Not as good as the jaycar ones. I have one of each and found always going back to the jaycar version
