I have the US T-Mobile version (AC-1900) of Asus RT-AC68U and running Merlin on it (I have NBN FTTP)

Does anybody know if I could use AI MESH and use both RT-AC68U and RT-ACRH13 together?

Also how is this compared with RT-AC68U if used this as a primary router? Will it be an upgrade?

      Also interested in this!

Check the AI Mesh listed routers, I don't believe this would be though.

The RT 68U should work the other ACRH is not supported.
The Asus website is a vague asf.
I had 2 x DSLAC68U I couldn't use. DSL and LTE that support AiMesh technology are only capable of working as AiMesh primary router, not AiMesh node.

  • Appears like it's been in the too hard basket for custom firmware from my brief googling and the base firmware is fairly finicky/limited.

  • Could always extend your network with a cable though.

  • This an oversea model? Will this work in Aussie land without to much mucking around?

EDIT: looking at getting one for the parents and don't want any expensive or seriously router just some thing work reasonable with WIFI speed

    • just some thing work reasonable with WIFI speed

There are lots of adsl modem/routers with ac wifi on ebay etc for peanuts, from the NBN rollout.

Why on earth does anything still support WEP? Aircrack came out 15 years ago!

  • Price back to normal?

  • Is it NBN ready?
