Paper cups are coated with plastic otherwise the paper would leak.

I am drinking a coffee from a KeepCup right now. It is much better than any disposable cup I have ever used.

Before buying online have a look at your local coffee store.
I have seen these in a few stores and for about the same price as buying them online you can buy them with a coffee included.
The main purpose of the keep cup is to help the environment by not using disposable cups that add to landfill. So that plasticity aftertaste is the satisfaction of helping the environment.
or you could just stick to water, like someone said in the gatorade deal.
No plasticky aftertaste in my keepcup and I use it for coffee.
No plastic aftertaste in mine, I bought mine at work for $6 for the 12oz/340ml one.
Also they are BPA free and non toxic.
You lose the plastic aftertaste after about ten thousand uses, so you ought to be fine within a few weeks.
i got one given to me at work, good idea, but these things make coffee taste crap !!!
