are u happy now
you're a hypocrite for doing the same.
Thus creating the irony…
i wonder why its not working right now
its working, i am still spaming my mates
my mates are getting really pissed off.
ROFL
thats exactly what i'm gonna do too LOL!
How many have u spammed?damn site is dead for me as well?
it is still working. I just spammed over 200 sms in the last 2 hours. This is really fun.
the site is working for me just fine.
hehe - its a good service!
i think somethings wrong….i sent 2 messages to my own phone to test the speed
i forgot i even sent the sms's to my self… but according to the time i wrote on the message
its taken over 2 hrs for both messages to arrive…might just be me
arhhh.. you guys abuse the system, it might not be alive in the future.
osim
I just want to point out a little unspoken Ozbargain etiquette.
You are welcome to post in another listing, that you have found a "better" deal, but also voting negative on it, is just not very nice.
The aim of this site is to encourage people to post. this is NOT a competition per se.
So when there is a similar posting to yours let the others here judge which is best.
give me a break ozpete. Stop picking on me seriously. The other post is jsut not the best deal around. I reckon it is fare enough to give a negative on that.
I still remember the days when people use to pick on asians LOL!
Boy has that trend shifted after 911 hehe.
But yeh, i have seen some pretty unthoughtful neg votes by other noobs LOL! Not u OSIM cos ur my BRO! AHAHA
Actually osim, the other deal is quite different really. Smsglobal offers enterprise grade sms services, meaning it not only allows you to send sms-es in the traditional way with a reply number, but it also allows you to broadcast sms-es with a company name. Yakedi has this restriction where you can only show you mobile number, and send sms-es to Australian mobiles only. Nevertheless, both yakedi and the 225 free smsglobal credit are still good bargains. So I don't think the smsglobal deal deserves a negative, as it is a better deal for people that wish to promote their business name or send an sms overseas. If you think otherwise, then people can also give this deal a negative just because you can't sms overseas or specify a sender address as a business name.
However, I think what ozpete meant was that the smsglobal.com.au shouldn't be given a negative because it did in fact encouraged a "better" deal (i.e. a fuel of encouragement that leads to your posting of yakedi's "better" offer).
I actually disagree with the many "EXPIRED" comments with negative votes by osim. But there were plenty of people giving it to him so I didn't bother joining in.
In this case, however, I don't think osim did anything wrong.
If the deals in question are not SMS sites, but say iPod selling sites. And osim found a site that sells iPod for less, it would make sense that he vote negative in the more expensive deal because there IS a better deal.
Similarity can be drawn and if this SMS site is better than the other one, (and therefore the other deal is worse) one shouldn't attract criticism by voting negative on the other deal.
Voting negative with no reason like osim previously did was "not very nice" but if he's able to find a better deal I have no problem with him voting negative.
Alan
You are exactly right. Ozpete is picking on me. No doubt about it.
I didn't do anything wrong here.osim you have also raised this in the offtopic forum
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/4690#comment-14329
so my response is there, where you and others are welcome to reply
No more discussion in this thread by you or others as its not appropriate to this deal.
i just did a test and sms was send to my phone in under 1 min
This is not necessarily better, with the ealier one, you can send international sms, but this one only works in Australia.
How does this offer compare to Pennytel (http://ausdotnet.wordpress.com/2008/04/07/operation-cheapska…)?
Pennytel does worldwide unlimited free SMS once you add $5 credit - and the SMS shows your mobile number too.
Well, for one I guess is that you don't have to shell out $5. But good find though…thanks.
Yes that's a great find! Being able to use my own number is actually very useful (which is why I often just send from Skype as it can use my own number). At least when people reply your SMS it does come back to you.
…but who find it 1st!?
It was posted by ronnknee from other sms post & no acknowledge at all!@POWERevolution — sorry I was replying mjwills' comment on PennyTel's unlimited SMS offer.
I found the site like a few months ago. I jsut never posted the deal.
PowerR
But in fairness to osim, Ronnknee didn't post it as a separate deal. Osim did, so it made it more available as no everyone reads all the comments
@[Deactivated]: thankyou ozpete, you are finally on my side for once. I am so happy now.
@osim: Indeed it's a nice find but I'm not gonna bother claiming ownership in "who found it first" because it's immature. Either way, I believe my comment sparked up your post. Thanks POWERevolution for trying to defend me, I really appreciate it but we have to let it go as there are too many people like him in this world
@ronnknee: what do you mean by people like me. I did not steal your it from you.
i was just wondering if the pennytel sms thing would work on a mac. sorry guys for the query, the online help desk was not responding earlier. thanks.
okidok911, it surely will.. the Pennytel SMS works from within their website, therefore its universal. If you have an internet capable phone you can also use fring (www.fring.com) to make use of their call rates… 38.8c uncapped to Australian mobiles (and you can choose caller ID based on the numbers you verify, ie mobile or landline)
thanks azazal
cheers!
If I remember correctly, Pennytel hasn't offered free SMS for quite a few months, although I do hope someone is able to prove me wrong
Who cares about Pennytel. If you join Yakedi, you get unlimited SMS.

You are wrong. :)
So how do I go about getting free worldwide sms on Pennytel?
Just sign up a prepaid plan, deposit some money into it, and you can do SMS from your account control panel on PennyTel's site.
Do I have to take the free access timed plan or the untimed plan?

Yakedi requires you to view ads. It also requires you to login to their webpage. Pennytel has neither restriction and provides free worldwide SMS.
it is ok
awsome
Now Yakedi's texts have a "Yakedi=Free sms" thing at the end of it. won't be using it anymore…
WHY ON EARTH DO YOU POST TITLES ALL IN CAPITALS. IT IS POOR NETIQUETTE AND UNNEEDED.
