What makes you say that? There is NO such condition in the offer.
I've just checked that by adding a $12 item and confirming that the coupon had been accepted.I don't why this negative sentiment can be justified. After all, half price shipping is still savings for someone who intends to buy something from them. It's not like their shipping rates are outrageous such as ShoppingSquare's.
In small text in a purple field above the graphic on the page you linked to is the following:

Okay, I see it now. The reason why it worked in the case above could be because I had items in the cart exceeding $50 before. Hence, one can get around this by simply adding and removing items on the cart.
I don't think it's ethical for them to put the "50% off" in big letters and "50% off shipping" in fine prints. I have a feeling the ACCC would be interested in this. Negging out of principle.

Exactly, some OzBargainers are starting to become whining, spoilt brats! Mwave are actually quite competitive on some items (like certain HDDs & SSDs), and their shipping isn't outrageous…so halving the shipping is actually a help for some people who were gonna purchase anyway; yeah it's not free, but we can't expect free stuff all of the time!
Soon people are gonna stop posting what they think is a bargain at all, all the pissing & moaning just isn't worth it!!!
