Great little keyboard for media boxes. Just got one for my Vodafone TV.
There is a black version available at the same price.

Yeah but cashback.
Yeah, but cheaper if you don't have Prime and can collect.
No, with cashback it’s still cheaper. And even if you somehow don’t have Prime, it takes two minutes to set up a new account.
Don't forget fuel.
@Korban Dallas: And the risk of missing out on other OzBargain deals while queuing up at the cashier
@Sydgun: Or waiting until today and go into Officeworks looking to buy only to see that it is gone up to $68.
Lost out on the deal, fuel and time.

Logitech Multi-Device Keyboard K780 $55.3
Thanks. Just bought this one.
Does it have caps lock indicator? I am trying to buy one with the caps lock indicator. It is frustrating to type without knowing whether the caps lock is on or not, especially when entering passwords.
But no touchpad
Even without the trackpad, I think I'd rather get that. I got a dual device mouse, it's really handy supports Bluetooth as well so the dongle lives inside it
I have one of these… I thought it's quite an old model and they superceded it with some slightly newer circular touchpad design? Any reason to switch?
How do you find it goes with the vodafone TV, just wondering what you use the keyboard for over the remote?
It will work.
I also have a gamepad for games.
Amazon prime and BBC doesn't play well with the remote. This fixes the issue. Well pretty much a lot of many any non TV apks.
Not to mention passwords and typing is much faster.
We grabbed one of these a few weeks ago to use with a steamlink. It's pretty great for playing a tonne of games on the tv.
Nice. Recommend any games?
Just bought Islanders in the steam sale for 6 bucks.
It's a minimalist city builder. You don't have resources, you just get a set of buildings to choose from, and they get bonuses depending on what they are near. Get enough bonus points, and you unlock more buildings. It's simple to start and a lot of fun.
Also been playing Stardew Valley, XCOM 2 (holy shit is it hard), Carcassone, Stanley Parable.
And if you've got a controller and like to laugh while you fail, I am Bread and Octodad.
Thanks heaps!
This is has really kept its value for a 2012 device
Incorrect. Maybe for the K400 but not the plus.
Great keyboard. Saw this in the Aldi catalogue today for $40. I bought mine when Dick Smith collapsed and it's still working perfectly fine.
Yeah, Aldi advertising it as bluetooth capable - gonna be some refunds over that.
Will this work in an older 4K Sony TV
I'm usually pretty Tech savvy but if I've totally missed the part of wireless keyboards and the dongles being usable in televisions I will be pleasantly surprised.
Just to clarify can I put the little dongle in the USB port on any television and it will work?
Works beautifully on my 2015 4K Sony TV (Android)
Any television that supports regular USB keyboards (which should include any that run Android).
That's awesome. For some reason I just didn't think you would just be able to use a wireless adapter that came with a keyboard
Wish I knew this years ago
I got one of these years ago for my Mac mini. Does a great job. Heaps better than the wireless Apple keyboard and mouse.
So, you commented that you use this for you Vodafone TV, I have not been able to get tv recording to work, have you? Or anyone else able to comment on this? Is it reliant on USB size, like minimum or a maximum?
I use an 128gb SSD. Works like a charm.
Needs to be formatted as storage.
On many thanks, will see how it goes, think my mistake was making it internal
Actually I think it is internal. I'll check tomorrow for you.
@Korban Dallas: ok, many thanks, although, just in case.
is this what you were referring to or something different?
https://www.vodafone.com.au/vodafone-tv2018
@Austaurean: Yes. It's internal. I formatted as internal storage. Note that a regular drive couldn't be powered by the box. But the ssd works fine.
@Korban Dallas: Ok, thanks im trying with a 32gb samsung memory stick. But all i get is 'this show cant be recorded'type of message
Can it be used with Samsung RU7100?
Thanks!
samsung requires bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Doesnt work on dongle.
I just bought a pair of Knipex cutting pliers from Amazon at $17.. bargain.. I go to post the deal and the price is jacked to $60. I wonder what prompts the movement in pricing…
Would the trackpad work as a proper mouse when hooked up to an iPad running iOS 13?
It's not bluetooth. You need the wireless usb with it
I didn’t realise it wasn’t BT. However, I don’t think iPadOS (iOS 13 for iPad) requires BT - you could still hook it up via an adapter, right? Clunky, but it could work?
iOS is not on their compatibility list:
K400 Plus keyboard works with both desktop and laptop computers and is compatible with the following operating systems.
Windows® 7 and later
Chrome OS™
Android™ 5.0.2 and later
I just tested it with mine last night, and the keyboard works great but the touchpad doesn’t unfortunately.
Are you running iPad OS (the beta)? Have you enabled mouse support in Settings?
Yes to all.
Public Beta with Assistive Touch enabled and doesn’t show up in the Mouse area.
Harvey Norman refused to price match as they consider it’s well below the rrp. lol
Seems HVN now has a calculator to figure out whether to approve a price match.
Lol what a lame policy!!
Can't remember the last time I had keyboard in the living room since getting Chromecast Ultra
I remember buying this keyboard for $27.50 from Officeworks in 2017.. why are they appreciating in value?
Cool, I will just go back to 2017 and grab one.
Can you place a bet for me?
No, that’s against the rules.
Logitech is a greedy company
I've had a couple of these over the years but since picking up the K380 couldn't go back.

Might be worth keeping on your Wish List for Prime Day upcoming I think either then or Black Friday last year was at a decent price.
What have been the big improvements for you? I’ve had the one in the deal for almost a year now and it isn’t premium feeling but has done a solid job for me.
The feel of it, like that rubber plastic coating is really nice. Backlit obviously. Plug in to charge. Keys feel nicer but not really a big deal for media center use.
I still run WMC + MyMovies on a media center pc where wife and I do a lot of general computing as well so we fall back to keyboard/mouse often.
Like unless you could get at a really decent price I wouldn't rush to upgrade. We had some spare cash, it came up last year I think Black Friday so got it and were able to put aside the old K400 Plus for kids TV at some stage.
Personal preference but for me the K400 has a mouse button in the top left corner and the K380 doesn't. I couldn't go back to a keyboard that doesn't have the button there as it's a really convenient feature for me.
Will this work for raspberry pi
Been using one with my raspberry pi for running kodi (libreelec) for a couple of years.
I'm keen to upgrade to raspberry pi 4 for H254 and 4k goodness :)
Great little keyboard, my only gripe is needing to hold down the function key to use the F1, F2, etc, buttons.
May i ask, is it using dongle or bluetooth?
if dongle, its not working with Samsung TVs.
Samsung TVs can only connect with a bluetooth keyboard.
Dongle only.
If you are using it with Vodafone TV - where do you plug in the dongle ?
Usb Port.
The USB Port in the TV ?
@Korban Dallas: Thankyou !!!
@Zuba: I have a usb adapter so I can plug in my ssd as well.
Update: Price on Amazon for BLACK one has gone up to $45
Officeworks price is now $68
So annoying because I put it in my cart earlier today and went to checkout just now from Officeworks but the price went up to $68 at midnight. Wish I knew it was ending at Officeworks.
Hopefully they can still price match in store even though the screenshot will be of the white version and I want black. Wish I didn't wait :(
Officeworks was price-matching JB's "red hot sale" price but they have removed the k400 from their website.
Same price at Officeworks
