I'm back with another portable monitor deal and this one is ideal for those who find 10.5" more manageable than a hefty 16". At 10.5" this monitor is lighter, easier to slip into your bag and pairs perfectly with smaller laptops.

Featuring a 10.5" IPS display with 1920x1280 resolution, 60hz refresh rate, 3:2 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB / 76% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 280~420cd/m² brightness, HDR, 178° wide viewing angle, dual speakers, VESA mounting and weighs around 260g.

There's two USB-C ports for display/power, PD passthrough charging, Mini HDMI and a headphone jack. A Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C cable are included.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

  • Would there be any way to use this with a phone (S24 Ultra) and a mouse?

edit: damn I cant read for shit - hmm actually the two usb c ports wouldnt really help in that case would it?

    • +1

Some portable monitors will have a USB-A port for exactly this. You could pair a Bluetooth mouse to the Samsung.

    • Same question i think about. Your phone needs to be able to transfer the screen or info. Check if your phone had ' ready for ' or whatever equivalent compatibility to like watch tv etc.

Really wish a clear set of instructions were posted as i keep going nah until i can confirm it for Motorola.

    • Curious to know. Could you run samsung dex o this monitor.??

It’s a regular monitor. It can do whatever any monitor with HDMI and USB-C inputs can do.

    • Hey mate. I use a portable monitor with a usb C hub. This hub has a hdmi out as well as USB A ports, usb c ports and also a pass through power option. I combine this with a cheapo kmart power bank and I've got a portable monitor which i can hardwire keyboards, mice, gaming controllers etc to. I've also made this work by adapting the microusb input on my amazon firestick to a usb A OTG adapter, then a USB hub into that. The possibilities are endless and drive my wife insane haha. Forgot to mention I also have an s24 Ultra. Great phone.

Thank you for posting. Would the rexolution not be 3:2 rather than 16:10? Cheers

    • Thanks. I'm pretty sure I made that same mistake last time lol

    • 15:10 instead of 16:10, you're right, but pretty damn similar

    • Well, it says…

  • Great price for what it is. Thanks Clear.

Personally though holding out for a deal on a 10.5 that has a kickstand and touch. Something like the Mucai 10.5 https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006515898296.html

For an OLED that's US$70 cheaper than the Bimawen store on AliExpress? It's fake.

    Nice deal @Clear.

Any recommendations on a good portable touchscreen preferably with the following specs:
    - powered by USB-C
    - FHD resolution
    - 12-14” in size
    - able to rotate in Portrait Mode

  • It's not 3:2 - obviously! It's…

    16:11 golden ratio

    😀

Most of the photos show it with a separate stand, but there is no mention of a stand in the specs or in the packing list.

    • +1

And if that stand does come with the screen, it's one ugly MoFo…. :P

  • Great deal.

Going to hold out til AR glasses are cheaper and Clear uploads a good deal!

If anyone needs a stand, I've had good success with the ugreen tablet stand (I think it's this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001619585824.html)

I use that with a 14" portable monitor. It doesn't fold flat, but it's small enough and light (plastic), and lines the monitor up at the same height as a laptop screen.

  • About to try making a little portable gaming set up with my PS Classic, inspired by this:

    https://imgur.com/a/playstation-classic-portable-setup-1FgEs…

Wonder if this screen would have been a better starting point than the 15.6 in portable screen I just bought from Amazon for $111 delivered….

    https://amzn.asia/d/0wEpto9

I'm going to try double sided Velcro on the back of the monitor tab stand that it comes with, hoping it will still stand up, not collapse….got a 10000 mAh battery pack that's compact I'm going to try running it all off first….this smaller screen would probably be kinder to the battery life.

Anyways looks like a decent deal for $56

Reporting back as mine arrived earlier this week.

    Mine came packaged with:
    - USB-C to USB-C cable
    - Mini HDMI to HDMI cable
    - USB-A to USB-C cable (although you might get a USB-C to USB-C power-only cable according to the manual)

I managed to get power + video using 1 cable from my laptop.

It comes with a functional bracket/stand, the one pictured in the photos.

The display and everything else is packed well, in a padded box. The display has protective film which is easy to remove.

It is very thin and light. I'm mildly worried that the screen might get damaged during transport, but it comes packed with a thin styrofoam bag which could be temporarily used.
Personally, I like this form-factor. There's no in-built battery that I need to worry about replacing down the road, and it adds minimal weight for what it provides.

It's really nice that it comes with VESA mounting holes, but I will be personally using an adhesive magsafe circle which enables it to work with a lot of other accessories and options. You probably want to elevate the display unless you want to develop chronic neck problems.

The screen is clear and sharp and the brightness appears to match what's advertised. I think it's a very good bargain for about $55-$60.

Bought one as well, agree with everything said

In addition, from my very untrained eye, the 100% srgb claim appears to be true when comparing side by side to a Dell laptop which is known 60% srgb. Dell is way more washed out and greyish

There is technically PD passthrough except it is nowhere near enough to charge a laptop properly, it'll be enough to trickle charge a phone at most
