Forget ZSUS when there's a Firebat monitor on sale for a low price. Compared to others this is more of a budget portable monitor but at 16" it ends up being good value and perfectly fine for general use. Especially when it has an inbuilt kickstand and VESA mounting.

Featuring a 16" IPS display with 1920x1080 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 16:9 aspect ratio, 63% sRGB colour gamut, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m² brightness, HDR, HDR, 178° wide viewing angle, dual speakers and weighs around 780g.

There's two USB-C ports for display/power, PD passthrough charging, Mini HDMI and a headphone jack. A Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, 2x USB-C cables and charger are included. While it does include an EU charger you can use any USB charger, PD passthrough or worst case run it off a USB port on your device.

  • Add Plug Type: EU Plug to the cart

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

    Much better brand than Waterbat.

You would be downgrading. This isn't touch.

I feel the urge to buy them all. It must be because they sound like some knock-off Pokemon names

  • wow bought similar thing but 15.6" from amazon for $79.99 i thought that was good price

will it look bad with 63% srgb?

    • +2

They're probably the most honest as everyone says 100% when it's not entirely true. Doesn't look too bad in reviews.

  • What power levels does this support for PD passthrough?

  • I see a Wayne Enterprises Lawsuit coming

I used something like this when travelling to have a second monitor while working.

    • +1

Slapped a spare chromecast on it and now it's just a digital picture frame

I would love to see if there was a way to hook up a Switch to it for use in the back of the Honda Odyssey for road trips with the kids in the back of the car so they can play two-player games and see the screen.

I need to do more research…

      • Hello fellow Odyssey owner
Where would you hang/put a monitor though? I have the 7-seater & hanging it on the back of a seat just obv won’t work.. thoughts?

  • appears to be back in stock

  • Needed one with touch.. any suggestions?

    Any 16:10s? Or 4:3?

  • Thanks, I ordered one. Hopefully it works well!

        Haven't received it

  • Is a firebat what happens when you cut up chillis beforehand?

  • woohoo. Order now placed. Lets see what happens

  • These portable monitors are getting so cheap. They were around $100-150 for similar spec few months last year.

  • +1

Anybody received theirs yet? Order placed almost 3 weeks ago and tracking shows that it hasn't even left the country of origin.

  • +1

jesus they taking their sweet time with the delivery. looks like it won't arrive till march 2 lol and i ordered on the day of this post

    • Has yours left the country yet? Mine still sitting there for weeks. Seems very suss…

      • Shipping update
        Package leaving origin country/region.
        Feb 11, 13:57 AWST

        • Nice. My just updated to leaving origin country Feb 18.

          • @Logical: It is now 5 days later after item was due to leave country and guess what… It still hasn't left the origin country. This is suss…

            • @Logical: Another 4 days later and still no change in status.

              Anyone have more updates?

              • @Logical: been around 5 days past expected delivery (Ordered Jan 21, expected delivery March 02). Still stuck same status. I filed paypal chargeback. Aliexpress froze the order. Will get the money back but this seller is not reliable or uses a terrible courier.

                • @MaxHashrate: Thank you for your update. I will do the same. Such a pity I was so looking forward to this screen.

                • @MaxHashrate: how are you going with your refund? Aliexpress are investigating my refund request. This is the worst experience I have had with AE. Very annoying

                  • @Logical: its frozen haha. Doesn't matter ill wait it out. Got the Zsus today on special

                    • @MaxHashrate: No kickstand on that Zsus unfortunately. I can't stand this pain of waiting for the refund. Were you successful in lodging a PayPal claim? I went through PayPal but they got me to go through AliExpress. Now it is in no man's land.

                      • @Logical: still waiting n frozen. It wasn't too expensive so not too worried. If u paid with paypal u dont need to worry as they will side with customer, especially when many ppl are doing chargebacks on the same seller.

Yeah, ill probably need to get a case for the zsus

                        • @MaxHashrate: OMG. Tracking update says that item arrived in destination country today. Don't know whether to believe this or not. We'll see over the coming days. Sounds like perhaps this came by ship and not via air. Maybe even a bulk shipment to a distributor in Oz?

                          • @Logical: Haha maybe we will get it for free like when Amazon messes up. Got a CPU for free once. But doubtful with AliExpress

                            • @MaxHashrate: Interesting. The seller is fighting back on the refund through AE. Can you please check if we have the same tracking number..
                              Mine ends in 5103.

                              • +1

@Logical: Not the same. Mine doesn't even have the tracking number anymore on AE… it just says frozen. On my paypal, there was an attached tracking number but its not 5103. Still says Departed from departure country/region (Feb 11).

Not sure what the logistic team of this seller is doing

  • +1

Did anyone get their screen delivered?
I placed an order on the 21st of Jan and still waiting!

    • +1

No one has their screen. This is the biggest scam ever. PayPal said to lodge AliExpress claim. I lodged refund request with AE and it is all suspended now. No money and no item.

      • +1

I got a tracking update today saying that the order is in the destination country. Let's see how it goes!
But I will never purchased from this store again .. maybe AliExpress all together

        • on 20 March mine changed in AE tracker to arrived at local country. My tracking ends in 5103. How about yours? However Aus Post tracker still says that label created 24 January and item not in Australia as at 25 March. So 5 days sitting in Australia and not scanned into the Aus Post tracker? That's suspicious and really totally BS.

          • @Logical: You are absolutely right! It is a big scam. At least they refunded me today.

            • @SamFred: Aus Post tracker still has it as label created. AE tracker now says cleared customs after 7 days in Australia. I am very confident noe that they sent a combined group shipment via a boat to a distributor in Aus who will break up the shipment to individual units and distribute.

              • @Logical: Update 31/3: it took 13 1/2 weeks to get to Brissy. My suspicions were correct. It came from China in a bulk shipment with other items for other purchasers. It went by boat. Underwent customs clearance, then off to a local distributor. Local dude slapped on the Aus Post label and it made it.

                • @Logical: That's 8 1/2 weeks, not 13 1/2 weeks

                  • +1

@Logical: Yes .. I got mine today and had a refund already. I can't complain although I won't be doing this again

  • Does anyone know how to calibrate/fix the colors on this display? they are awful out of the box.

    • You can try but I don't think there's much point. With cheap portable monitors like these the settings will sometimes revert when you unplug it from a power source. And sometimes it will revert even if you don't. If you don't like the colours out of the box, I suggest arranging a return and trying out something else 😅

      • Yes I think you are right. Thing is this took a while to get delivered so I have a refund (basically free monitor). But I think there a user 1 setting that is saved even if you plug it out but I could be wrong.
