Reasonable photo printer, not a multifunction printer.
This is an old model and reviews suggest good output quality but running costs can be high if genuine ink is to be used.

Edit:
Good Print resolution 9600 X 2400 with good colour reproduction.
Could be a good printer to use with generic ink.(A set can be bought delivered $9.99 from eBay).
I use a similar printer and photos come up nice with generic inks.

Delivery variable but seems around 20$.
Next cheapest at the moment is from MegaBuy ~ $89.

      Output resolution is quite good (9600 x 2400) for the price.
      I have a canon MG7160 which has the same resolution and a level below this, and pictures on photo paper comes out really good.
      This printer uses the same ink as my one and a set of XL ink is 9.99$ delivered from ebay.

    I have this printer.
    I don't know if it's good or not.
    But it comes with a full set of ink.
    The set of ink is worth >49.

    I've never worked out how Duplex works.

      Also don't understand 9600 (horizontal) x 2400 (vertical) dpi. Does it mean it's blurrier in 1 direction?

      Just put a tick in the duplex box when printing and it prints on both sides of paper not hard to do.

    Good printer I buy cheap EBay cartridges about $2 each one. Never had a problem in 2 years.

        Not in my case. I ordered last Friday seeing no change on the order (saying ON ORDER) so I phoned them at 03 9899 4424, the number found in the order notification email, and quoted my order number. They told me it is ready for pick up. And I am with my printer at home now, happily.
        BTW the printer comes with cable, ordinary size cartridges, installation CD and even a CD-loading tray for printing on disks. Ready to be used straight away!
        Get it sooner if you needed.

    And another update here as i can see discount of this printer still going around via other retailers. I eventually decided to return mine as it could not connect to the wifi after trying everything including trouble shooting with ISP, and Canon tech-support. Hope it is only this one.
