    If its just the occasional print get a laser, a second hand laser would be my recommendation. For less then $100 there's usually good colour laser MFC machines on the used market and the supplies last ages if you don't print much. I've had my second hand machine for a few years now and I've bought compatible supplies once after the ones it came with ran out.

    Inkjet is better for photos but unless you're constantly spitting out photo prints I think you will find its a false economy, just goto office works for photos.

  I have this, and it's good for printing and scanning. Don't use it for much else.

  Be aware though - it's bloody big. You would want a dedicated office space to have it set up in.
