[PC] DisplayFusion $15.48, 4-Pack $43.38 @ Steam

200

Hi everyone! First-time poster, feel free to give me constructive feedback.

DisplayFusion is a useful tool to manage multiple monitors and the software is a lifetime license. You can install this Steam version of DisplayFusion on any machine that you are the primary user of, where you have Steam installed. Steam does not need to be running or logged in to use DisplayFusion after it has been installed.

I believe that the 4-pack means that you can use DisplayFusion for four different Steam accounts. For more information to determine whether the software is worth grabbing, it's worth visiting the DisplayFusion website: https://www.displayfusion.com/. I haven't used the software too extensively so I can't offer fully informed comments, but after browsing through past deals listed on Ozbargain and reading various other forums, it seems like a great product at a fantastic price.

  • The software is really good, was happy to buy it a couple of years ago. I have an ultrawide monitor and often work from home. Being able to snap windows to the particular part of the screen is efficient and easy. Saves doing Windows + Left/ Right everytime…

Haven't explored further than that but worth it just for that for me.

  • Great software. I use it for window snapping on an ultrawide monitor and also to quickly switch display profiles between monitor and TV. Would definitely recommend at the price.

  • Some great features and I had been using for years but recently disabled it's startup. Was causing explorer to constantly crash on windows 10 machine. No problems since disabling DisplayFusion. Also causes issue with Origin Games In-Game Overlay.

  • Oh nice one, I like how it lets you snap two windows vertically on a portrait monitor. This alone is worth the price for me.

  • +1

Fantastic piece of software. Has been a lot cheaper a few times though.

  • Can this help with the scenario where a laptop is plugged into a dock with two screens, removed from the dock, resulting in Windows moving to the laptop screen. Upon plugging back into the dock with two monitors, I'd like the windows to move back from the laptop screen to their original position on the two monitors.

    • Yes I believe it can. You can set up rules so that certain apps move to certain screens/locations upon certain actions. You could even assign a hotkey that auto moved all your windows to a certain place when you pressed it.

  • can we do a group buy or just buy a 4-pack and sell the other 3 keys?

    • +1

I've tried doing group buys on OzBargain in the past. It's just not something this community does. Not sure why :(

  • If you use Magnet on macOS and think this is the Windows equivalent well it sure isn't.
While I'm sure it must have many, many uses…I have never found one. Over complicated, TLDR.

    • I use Magnet and find it good, whilst I did use Display fusion on my Windows pc it seems to try to be everything and not great at anything. It use to be great software, feels bloated these days.

  • Never been able to see the value in this considering Windows 10 pretty much does most of the claimed abilities out of the box.

    • Try moving a window onto another monitor of a different resolution.

      • Snaps to the screen size if you push it to the edge.

  • I don't currently use 2 monitors, but I used to use 3 for years… I really can't see any value in this for 16 bucks. Expect others comments about snapping 2 windows vertically in portrait orientation, but doesn't windows 10 snap to corner work for that?

    • What about my scenario above? Is there a way for Windows to deal with that?

      • I have no idea, but I'm going to go and guess not, perhaps you win this round.

        • Lol.It is a pretty specific use case which I doubt would apply to too many people.
