Doesn't seem like a good deal to me…you can be getting i7 laptops for that price and size.

esp considering the previous deal for an 13" ultraportable i3 for $499…hmmm this big brick seems a bit expensive!

May its these options that jacks the price up:

    Genuine Windows® 7 OS Label
    Intel® Core™ i3 Series Processor Label
    Directship Info
    Break the Seal Sticker (seriously???!)
    Adobe Reader X
    Dell™ Welcome
    DataSafe Local Basic
    Windows Live™
    Royalty Info Mod for CCI
Internal 10/100 Fast Ethernet (<— we back in the 90's???)

    with $300 more, you get

    • 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM processor 2.00 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz
    • 6GB4 DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
    • 750GB5 SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
    • 1024MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT525M

    that's 30% (or Cash Off $510)

i think that is a much better deal.

  • Anyone that pays $900 for an i3 is a sucker.
You can get a Inspiron 15R-2nd Gen i7 for around $950 if you use NRMA/RAC codes.
Perhaps if the screen was actually an improved resolution (1600 x 900, wtf?) … should be more like 1920 x 1080, especially at that price.
Perhaps try looking at an MSI 17" (at least you'll get an i5), I think they are around the $900-950 mark.

  • very very bad value

i paid $575 for the officemax i5-480m lenovo edge

if you pay more than $500 for any 1st gen i3 you got taken…
