just wondering, how would one install it in units with no hooks to ceiling and walls made of gyprock? any idea?
Is your ceiling concrete or hollow with timber frame?
If you can't add wiring, you may be able to replace an existing ceiling lamp.I think its concrete.. ceiling lamps are all over the corners.. may not be useful for fan position..

I think so. Sonoff also make a fan controller with wifi/Alexa/Home control and it's own remote.
Yeah I've got 2 of the sonoff ifan02 controllers, work a treat for the last 9 months. I don't have Google home or Alexa but can control from and app on my phone also for when you don't wanna get up off the couch because you've got a baby falling asleep in your arms and need it to be dark and not move them… Or you're lazy…
Maybe you could add a sonoff plug to the wiring?

2 local NSW Bunnings won't match
Open a box and look at the colour before buying. I bought one a while ago, and it was the dirtiest yellowing white, Nothing like the photo on the front.
Is it not the installation that really hits the wallet?
