700watts…..Geeze, it would have to be a tiny room you're heating!
dupe.
I believe CHOICE did a heater study recently (models # Abode 11-fin 8126795 # Abode 2000W 8126801 ) as shown on Today Tonight or ACA, and the brand was the worst overall (high energy usage, not warm enough), plus their Oscillating Fan Heaters had a recall recently due to wires incorrectly assembled and being in contact with the heating element.
Stay away from this brand
Thats the normal price, and its no bargain.
I own one of these and its capable of putting out a reasonable amount of heat, but its tiny and only capable of removing the chill from a small room. Which was all we wanted it for, just to keep the baby's room from getting too cold overnight.http://www.lasoo.com.au/offer/heaters/mini-oil-heater/4mooa4…
Same price most places for 700W
Can anyone recommend a heater for my bedroom?? Preferably one with a timer so that it turns itself on at 6am.
I can recommend the Sunbeam ceramic Micro Furnace. However mine doesn't have a timer, it just turns itself down when the room reaches a certain temperature as set by you. I have the 1500W version and it can make a room toasty.
Simply buy any space heater and connect it to a wall timer which is set to turn on at 6am.
Leave the heater turned on so that when the timer turns on the heater automatically startsIt will be much cheaper than buying a heater with a built in clock/timer function.
Any heater will do, do not let price/marketing trick you.
All 2000w heaters heat exactly the same regardless of how much they cost.I do not think you will get cheaper than this, $15 delivered http://www.bigw.com.au/home-garden/small-appliances/heating-…
….but not all of them can set fire to your place.
This is one thing I would never buy on the cheap.
Any heater regardless of how much it cost can set fire to your house. (So can any other appliance)
Keep them away from things which can easily burn and do not drop them when they are turned on and if it has not caught fire the first time you used it then it should keep you warm for years.

A timer like this is what you would need

grab the pentium 4 deal for $55 and you can keep your room warm and surf the net at 6am.
Apparently this heater is not a good one to be considers as a "Deal".

The person said that they had a small kambrook heater and it was loud which means they would have had a fan heater.
If they purchased their kambrook heater form bigw it was this model which is 2400 watts
http://www.bigw.com.au/home-garden/small-appliances/heating-…They then purchased this 700w oil heater which has about 3.5 times less heating output of the kambrook heater that they originally had so of course it is not going to heat their room as well as the kambrook heater that they originally had.
The review should be ignored because the person does not understand they they have purchased a less powerful heater.
Of course a 700w heater is going to make less heat than a 2400w heater, this does not mean the oil heater is bad.
normal price
I dont know any other store that would sell for this price INCLUDING free delivery
