Good headset and battery life

Includes a $18 bonus Dolby Atmos Licence (But try using 30 Day demo initially and then activate the code, once code is activated with your microsoft account in PC it will get automatically downloaded to XB1)

If you can use shopback discount you will get it more cheaper or can use jb hifi discount cards and get it from JB

Headset do actually brings good sound effect.

    Should be a perm code, I got one of these headsets (not this exact one but another model) and it's a perm unlock.

        @joe888 yea its a perm unlock code tied up with your microsoft account as @jetship mentioned.
        Yep works with both xbox and Windows 10 PC

  Some reviews mention an issue with distortion with the bass and/or using the headset at high volumes, can anyone that owns the headset comment on this?

    Yes at extreme high volume there is distortion.
    I only use a medium volume as it gives you more Atmos effects(read it as more sound tracks you can recognize)

      How's your microphone? I went with the 800HD (which looked essentially the same?) and find that the mic is very quiet & windows won't let me adjust the levels..

    Not sure (XBONE), but the battery life is excellent. I recharge it overnight every few days.
