are there any comparable deals like this at Bunnings? Need to gift one to my son-in-law whose always borrowing my drill.

If your son in law is near a bunnings go with Ozito.

        1. Bosch green isnt very good
        2. Ozito is cheap but good & regularly has specials (matching aldi) or awesome clearance deals.
        3. Ozito 5 year replacement warranty, youre in the middle of a job with this bosch and it stops working what do you do? with the Ozito you go to bunnings and they give you a brand new one no questions asked.

The Phantom finds your advice very persuasive…

Note on 3. theres only one question they ask, "work purposes or home diy", the warranty doesn't cover commercial use so it invalidates it immediately. *ex. bunnings toolshop "expert"

@sk3iron: And everyone would say home DIY

@MountFranklin: I had to do my first Ozito warranty on the weekend, have over 10 tools for 2 years so pretty good i must say.

I was dressed in my trade clothes and they didnt ask if trade or DIY, just swapped them. Also dont use powerpass when purchasing.

          • @sk3iron: true that. FYI green Bosch is for domestic use while the blue range is commercial grade.

@0zyt0zy: Also in the second image the actor is drilling into a stone wall with a metal drill bit. Hes gunna be there a while haha

  • Will this do brick and concrete easily?

    • No, not enough torque.

    • only SDS will do without constantly tightening the chuck. Once you hit rio the strength of the tool or your arm will show!

      • +1

        SDS?

Hammer drills and rotary hammers are both excellent for drilling masonry. Rotary hammers are more powerful, though, and have a “hammer-only” mode with no rotation. They usually have an SDS chuck, which is better for hammering.

The most popular type of chuck on the shelves at home centers today is the SDS-Plus. SDS-Plus bits have grooves on the shanks that lock securely into the chuck but allow the bit to move back and forth independently of the chuck.

        Source.

        Rio?

        Rio.

        Reo.

        Tool?

        Tool.

  • can I use this as a screwdriver?

    • +1

Yes. On the pictures it has a selector for different modes; hammer, drilling and driving.

      • great, thanks

  • Any feedback on the 34 bit set?
