  Personally not a fan of these, but as OP said it is a great price for the Glass Bottle version, saving over $100 on RRP. I have seen these on sale around $200 but this is a great price.

  What's the difference between this and the sodastream? I use the sodastream for just soda water.

  Bottles are twice the price, but never need to be replaced, unlike the plastic ones that have an expiration date.

  All that said, I have the Source Power (Fully electric version) and at the same price ($143) I'd be going that that….

      Nor do I. I've been using bottles that "expired" years ago.

      Some people are far more cautious, hence me noting it above.

  I have both this one and the plastic bottle version, I can say this one carbonates the water waaay better that the plastic version. You seem to get much bigger bubbles and it stays carbonated much longer.

  I can recommend and it's the best price since Xmas.

  My only tip is to buy another jug - it's a bit small.

  I never liked the look of other sodastream/sodaking. This one is the best looking one apart from an alternative brand found on HN .

  On the cheaper side there is a sodaking on Dan Murphys. It's more like a portable one but should do the job.

    My original Sodastream stays in the cupboard till I need to buzz some water. I've never considered it a counter top item. It has a small footprint it doesn't take up alot of space in pantry.

      Before my second bottle we buzzed the thing every other day! Now every 3-4 days but we still keep on the cupboard corner
