  • "how low can you go"

    • Was cheaper last month. From the company that treat all customers like Family, in this one occasion.

  • Really good price considering they were ~$149 in Jan from Officeworks

Has anyone tried this with a Macbook pro and done some video editing on it while files are on the drive? How well does that USB C speed perform over files locally on the hard drive? Obviously local is faster but is it a massive noticeable difference?

A lotof people use this for that purpose. I actually use a Samsung Evo in an external USB 3.0 drive and waiting for a new enclosure to update it to usb c 3.1.

I use one with a windows VM and it works very well. It’s the last gen model too. Movie files copy extremely fast. This model should be even faster than the internal ssd on my current mbp. You will have no issues video editing.

  • Would this be a good hard drive to use on a TV? I am thinking the low voltage requirements would be a good thing but am not sure if there's some SSD limitation on that type of application.
