I was looking for new glasses as the arm of my old pair fell off and unfortunately couldn't be repaired.

Found this coupon code from a previous deal which still appears to work! I saved $92.

They do have a buy one get one free code as well (BOGO) and 20% lens upgrade code (LENSUP). Not sure if stackable but I doubt it.

Free shipping applies to orders over $50.

Lastly don't forget 8.4% cashback (for new customers) at Cashrewards and Shopback. I used Shopback and received confirmation of the cashback within minutes.

    I saved $92.

How do you know you couldn't get them cheaper elsewhere?

Mmm true, but I guess anything is effort = reward though.

I have high myopia (-10.75 both eyes) and am usually quoted $400-600 for complete glasses with ultra thin lenses from optom shopfronts, so anything less than $200 is considered a good deal - that is without having to go to too much effort to source them from overseas etc.
Clearly.com is also accepted by my health fund so I don't have to worry about claiming it back.

Frames only. Seems additional lenses (Sunglasses, digital, etc) are not covered.

  • Tried with sunglasses and says code is not valid for items in my cart. Anyone know the T&Cs?

code worked for me with sunglasses

A few brands are exempt …e.g. Raybans … I seem to recall. It's in there in the t&c's from memory.

if you are interested in sourcing inexpensive glasses online then have a look at the Ozbargain health&beauty wiki which lists a lot of online sunglasses + contact lens sites.

goggles4u has a current deal for a pair of glasses from US$9.90 delivered using code WELCOME990

Note that this is a long-running new-customer deal, and no, it does not stack with other codes. BOGO only gives you a set of free frames. Unless your prescription is low, chances are your lenses will factor into the price as well, in which case try using LENSUP for 20% off lens options.

Claimed for my health fund with no issues with Clearly last year, just bought another pair this year. Their new virtual try-on is nice, though hopefully they'll expand it for everything they offer.

Shipping/production can sometimes take a while but their return policy is pretty good. That said, I felt bad that the first pair I ordered didn't fit (too big), so was more conservative with my replacement pair last year. For reference: Date Ordered: August 28, 2018. Received email Aug 29 saying missing part from manufacturer, ETA Sep 4. Shipped Sep 10. Received Sep 11.

It's not the cheapest, especially with the lenses upgrades, but look at it this way. Sometimes the frames go on deep discount. I was able to get a pair of glasses with Transitions last year. Since I couldn't use the FIRST40 code this year, but I know I can still use LENSUP and get Transitions with a cheaper pair of frames, I stepped into at least three stores this year to ask whether I could get the same. One pair of glasses, Transitions. In all cases I was either quoted >$100 over my health fund limit, or was subjected to waffling over which frames I could basically settle for.

So despite it being easier to see whether glasses fit well on my face in person, I'll probably be buying online if I can control the deal I can get.
