  • Are there any codes for the Q32?

    • Thank you so much for your support, we will notify you when there is a deal for Q32, it could be within half a month.

      • Any more deals/offers? i missed out on this.

I can see several different versions too of your earbuds, do you have a comparison…

But keen for another discount code on a good model please

  • Thanks. Just purchased the SoundPEATS TruEngine headphones. I'm hoping they're a bit louder than the QCY T1C headphones, which I've been quite happy with, but wish were slightly louder.

  • Thanks OP just bought the TruEngine earphones

  • Doe the code only work once? I bought a set of the TruEngine an now my wife likes them so she wants a pair as well but the code says it won't work

  • Thanks OP! My pair arrived today.

    Very pleased with the purchase.

    • Your pair of what and gimme a review as i'm feeling entitled.

      • +1

        The TruEngine ones.

Sound quality is good. They took awhile to warm up but I felt the sound quality was improving until it was on par with my current MeeAudio dual driver wired headphones.

For $43 bucks, definitely a steal!

        • does it support aptx?
ps:i hit the downward button accidentally

          • @presentv: Truengine does.

Worked great with my taotronics bt transmitter connected to my tv

            • @nedski: Great. I already have an airpods but want to have a try.

            • @nedski: No it doesnt support aptX.

              • @[Deactivated]: And why do you say that?

                • @nedski: because I used it today!

                  • @[Deactivated]: So OP that listed the deal said the TruEngine was APTX, were they incorrect?

                    • @nedski: I think so. My unit might be faulty (without aptX codec) but it is working perfectly and can confirm there is no sign of aptX, I do have aptX and LDAC devices so I do have some ideas about the codec.

          • @presentv: You can revoke your votes. Just click on the "votes" tab under the deal title, and then click "revoke" or the negative next to your vote. You can't vote again or change your vote though.

          • +1

@presentv: Using LG V30 with developer mode enabled. Can confirm that aptx is not supported with trueengine

            • +2

@siuol: Wait a second. I found a rebranded earbuds info which says they use qcc3020 soc. If so, they support aptx but only in Snapdragon 845 and above. So your V30(with SD835) can't support aptx with these earbuds.

              • @presentv: only seeing the comment now. It makes sense. Thanks

                • @siuol: …And my huawei mate20 pro doesn't support aptx as well. I 've already returned it.

    • Do they get decently loud?

      • Yep! I made my first call with them today as well.. pretty good mic's. If you can get these for $40 or $50… totally worth it.

Hi, was just wondering if you could extend the offer. Didn't realise it ended 7 minutes ago, was looking at reviews and was about to buy it :(

    • N7IOMXVJ code Still works for the Truefree plus btw

  • Does anyone know uf its possible to disable the continuous flashing blue lights?

    • +2

want to know as well, very annoying1

  • Any chance extending it until end of today? Was about to buy another 2 pairs.

  • When will the black Truefree be on sale?

  • +6

I received the Truengines on Tuesday, here's my opinion.

The sound quality is not great. I understand that these small devices have to fit a Bluetooth receiver, digital to analog converter, amplifier and battery inside not to mention the driver itself. Therefore sacrifices have to be made for physical space and battery life, however I was hoping the sound would be better than my cheapo $10 wired Xiaomi pistons. High end is very muddy in comparison, not much bass. My ears feel fatigued from short listening periods despite using a fairly low volume and with a comfortable fit.

The other thing I don't like is the flashing blue lights, pretty annoying in the dark and with no way to disable.

As for positives, battery life is adequate. The charging case works well. The pairing process is simple. They look quite nice. Can't comment on microphone quality, haven't tried a call yet.

I would like to know how these compare to the Xiaomi/redmi airdots if anyone has tried both. I will likely report back here if I pick those up also.

    • +1

The call quality is good if you are in a very silent environment. As the pair doesn't have a noise filter, it will pick up all the external noises that you don't even notice.
I agree with the (music) sound quality: it's okay, but far from great. I guess people just have gotten used to the generally subpar quality of Bluetooth headsets so they think this is the new great :)

EDIT: doesn't support aptx, but does support AAC.

However, the AAC support is buggy, and you tend to hear a big static crash when the player changes to the next song, so the only reasonable choice is SBC. Overall, rather disappointing

One major annoyance is that you have to take the pair out from the case at the same time otherwise the one that was left in for a bit longer falls back to pairing mode - same time, as in picking one out and putting in your ear, and picking the other out is already too late.

        • I tested my set yesterday and had no issues with AAC and Google Play Music, perhaps it's an app issue?

          • @TheContact: It's iTunes on a Mac; not all songs suffered from this problem during my tests.
I'm not sure what's actually causing it.
My hunch is that the AAC codec is buggy in the headset so in some cases it does, in some cases it does not make this noise artefact.

Great review - thanks. Glad i gave them a miss.

    • Having bought the Truengines as well, I find that the bass is actually quite overwhelming and this is comparing against my FLC8s. But you are right, the highs are muddy but nothing to complain about for $40.

  • I can't get the code to work - has it expired?

  • +2

Got both trueengine for myself and truefree for wife. Was using trueengine when walking in city or in bus, the person whom I was talking to was getting lot of background noise and less of my voice. Had to switch back to using phone without buds. Will try truefree tomorrow in the city.

  • +1

hey i can't order the truengines at the discount any more :(
any chance of extending the voucher for it, OP?
    Thanks!!

    • +2

I received my pair of True engines yesterday.

      • I was impressed with the presentation and looks of both the charging case and the earphones; for the price they feel like a decent quality item.

      • Pairing to my iPhone was very simple and easy. Great to see the added battery icon of the earphones is shown in the top right of iOS.

      • I did not buy these for phone calls so I cannot say anything about the microphone.

      • Sound using the Spotify app on my iPhone was as expected, it will not blow you away but there is a low frequency presence and depending on the track you will get a small rumble in your ears at higher volume. In general the sound is perfectly fine for what you are paying.

      • Both earphones emit a blue LED light every four seconds or so which is really annoying, I would love to be able to disable this as when I am at the gym I want them to be as low key as possible and at night time it is distracting.

      • The max volume on these earphones may not be as high as some people like, for me though it was perfectly acceptable and max volume will have you not hearing anything else. My preference is to have this set at a low volume level so I can hear if someone is saying something to me during training.

      • The earphones fit securely into my ear and they did not fall out during heavy bag work or skipping.

      • The earphones survived the vast quantities of sweat during training.

I bought these because they where cheap and seemed like they where good value for money which now after testing them I can say is true. They make a good addition for my gym bag as they are lightweight and compact with the charging case and if they did get stolen its not a huge loss. When I want to train solo or need the Eye of the Tiger to help me push a little harder these will do the job well.

PSA: Obviously do not wear these or any type of earphone during sparring. That would be very stupid.

      • Do you find the connection to be flaky and unstable when connected to your phone? Mine is very flaky and breaks up the music quite often which is a bit annoying.

        • I have an iPhone 6S and was able to listen to music on the Spotify app for some distance, no instability and tested leaving the phone downstairs and went upstairs into other rooms and it still worked.

  • Receive mine, audio quality when making calls is good.

Range is absolute garbage compared to every other headset I've used. If it's more than 5 metres away it breaks up. No issues in your pocket though.

Audio quality for a non audiophile is excellent.

  • I bought the true engine and got it a few days ago. Today I am testing this with my phone and bluetooth connected effortlessly but when listening to music I get interrupted quite frequently on the musics from youtube music (playing from my phone). The connection is flaky and unstable. I am unsure if this is normal or I got a faulty unit. Is this happening to you guys as well?

    • Yes same problem … it seems the connection with the left and right earphone is the main problem … sometimes it go into mono or sometimes I would lose sound from the left earphone completely. For the price the sound quality is great, but if connectivity problems persist then it ruins the overall experience.

  • Any chance for a sale on the soundpeats true capsules? Wanting to grab a pair for my wife and i.
