The $109 ones are not the same - those are the Nurabuds.
For the equivalent of the Denon Perl, you'd be looking at the Nuratrue, which are $229 at JB.

denon marantz are companies that think their customers will pay whatver if they put their name on it
PerL pros are much better purchase. Got them from JB a year ago and sound quality is really good. Having said that, nothing is perfect! In my case there was an audible hiss in the right earpod when NC was on, got them replaced then the replacement set had a hiss in the left earpod. YMMV but my mate also purchased his at the same time and his ones have been working just fine…
