    Weird flex, but okay

    "E-Start"
Well this looks intentionally misleading! Makes it look like you just push a button and it starts.

How it is compared to GIANTZ sold by ozplaza_living?

I've had a couple of these cheapie eBay chainsaws. They are all built on the EXACT same engine frame - right down to screwhole locations and threads, which means almost every part is interchangeable. It's really only the plastic casings that look different.

1st one was a Baumr-Ag 20" with a genuine Oregon bar & chain. Quite good for what I paid, but eventually the chain tensioner broke (side-screw wormgear style).

2nd was a (cheaper) generic 20" with a generic chain - but came with a nylon bag. Got about 3 loads in and the chain was too loose to use again - even though there was plenty of life left in the teeth! Then the kickback handle didn't work properly… so the chain & handle from the Baumr-Ag went on without a hitch, and it's been purring ever since - still using it.

If you guys DO look at getting any eBay chainsaw, make sure it's got a genuine Oregon chain - that really is the one bit that counts. Don't rely on the images either, make sure it's written in the listing. Edisons seems to be highly reliable, and also regularly participate in eBay sales too.

    • thanks a lot.

  • 7kg will get heavy after a while.

I've got a BBT branded one that looks similar/same, although I think about 50cc/20".
Owned for 7 years and started easily the last time I used it.
Only issue is the knob on choke pulled off, but can still operate it as there is enough of the stalk poking out.

It only gets used when cutting larger diameter logs as my 4kg/30cc/14" Stihl MS170 does a fine job most of the time.
    .
Conclusion - OK if for occasional use or if need large log capability.
