Was in Parramatta and saw the Sony store had new tvs with free delivery and install on their new 55 and 65" tvs.

The guys said the delivery and install is valued at like $400

  • Think you'll need to clarify if it's like HN "install", which is taking it out of the box

      • I remember that.

        Classic moment.

The guys said it was full install

    • Never pay/opt for the Harvey Norman install. My parents were left with a giant paperweight as the delivery guys had no idea how to install the TV, apparently they weren't notified about the install and had no idea how to install it.

Free delivery is good, but I'd much rather install it myself (half the fun!)

'The guys said the delivery and install is valued at like $400'

LOL, I'll do it for half that if you want….

What a scam. If you can't plug it in a power point and turn it on…. seriously.

I'd do it for a slab beer.

Are you sure you haven't misheard $100?
Cause no one is that messed up in the head to pay $400 for delivery

But they said 'install' too :)

If that 'install' includes a wall mount, installation and calibration… sure…. that's about right.

  • if delivery and install worth $400,by the way how much is the tv?

compare to sumsang tv, which one is better?

  • What is value? is value based on society fluctuations and expectations? Is value only to the eye of the beholder? Is value the currency where an individual places their worth on what it is? Who determines what value is? Value…..

Nobody should pay $400 for delivery and installation. Installation isn't hard even if you need to mount the tv on the wall.

    • I googled "professional" tv wall mounting. It's an actual industry! They even have galleries of completed jobs - TVs… hung on walls.

  • +1

I wouldn't even pay $400 if they were to wall mount it and run the cables behind the wall.
I'd rather do it myself and get them to deduct $400 from the TV.

    • If that ever happens in the history of any sales transaction, I encourage you to post it here on OzBargains.

      • It's not that hard to do if you know what you're doing.
Even then, if you don't know what you're doing. You can always check out youtube for DIY tutorials.

  • Install it yourself for free, and put the extra to a better TV

  • OP is totally not a store rep!
