Thanks @lester! Been awhile since a good watch post.

Am I the only one who misses @WatchNerd's watch pr0n posts?

    • +4

No I also miss nerds' deals ….

    • A horrifying and ghastly tragedy of Greek proportions.

    • where are they by the way, banned or?!?

      • Banned. Yes.

      • -1

I believe someone was hassling/stalking him, and it all got too much so he bailed.

        • +2

Yes, an especially powerful and influential individual managed to crush the resolve of WatchNerd, PJC and MathNerd all on the same day driving them to spontaneously and collectively ban themselves from the OzBargain ecosystem.

A possible alternative explanation, which seems more congruent with the facts, is that the mods banned them after months of brigading. A horrifying and ghastly tragedy of Greek proportions.

          • @[Deactivated]: guilty conscience?

Pity, I used to enjoy his posts.

            • @[Deactivated]: If it helps you move on i'm happy to take credit, even though i was half way through a month-long residency in the Penalty Box when all this unfolded.

And yes WatchNerd's posts were quite good.

Ive been waiting for the Solar Tunas to go on sale. This was going to be my first ever post, but beaten to it by lester!
Ummm black and gold or the PADI?

    • +2

      Why not both?

I've got the gold and it has quickly become my go-to weekender. I will pick up the PADI at some point… that dial just pops. I have bought the stainless Yobokies shroud replacement in preparation and a bracelet to match.

Some pretty good prices you've listed there.

For those on a tighter budget, the Citizen Eco Drive BM7390-22X Steel Green Nylon has come right down since last night to $115, which looks pretty good to me. There's also the Citizen Eco Drive BM8470-03A for those even tighter.

I am showing immense restraint right now.

    • For some of us it's not so much a matter of restraint, but constraints.

      • +1

        Kidneys are a commodity.

  • +2

Ripper price for that Presage, don't think I've seen it any cheaper. Mighty tempted to push the button on this one.

    • +2

Corker of a price. Have a dip.

    There's also a couple of Seiko 5 Sports Automatics in there including the SRPC59K @ $175 and the SRPC57K @ $199.

got my third citizen from starbuy, Citizen Promaster CA0710-82L, thanks to remind me the deal.

got the watch on Friday morning (ordered Wednesday), looks definitely better than in all the photo. Citizen build always impress me and make me very happy.

  • I’m sure it’s a one off but… I ordered a Samurai Prospex in the last deal and I’ve yet to receive it almost 2 weeks later. The tracking page has it listed as “delayed” and hasn’t been updated since 13 June. I’ve logged a ticket with Aust Post who said they’d take 10 business days to investigate… and have followed up with StarBuy too but no luck yet.

    • @borbor Hi again. Did you get our email re this?

      • +1

Yes I did! Thanks for helping resolving it again. Can confirm I’ve got the watch and am one happy customer :)

    Anddddddd I'm down $758 now
