      It is a customized firmware base on Linux- similar to Dingux system.

    Wouldn't expect amazing performance. Then again. It's $60! Not too shabby.

    Some of the recent retro game projects are hoaxes/scams, I'm not asserting this IS one of them, but I'd still wait until people have these before buying one

      Can't comment on this new one exactly, but the last two BittBoys (the one with built in games, and the one where you BYO, I've not used the BYO revision with CFW though) are fantastic and I use them nearly every day. Battery is fantastic, I just slide the BYO ROM one under the bed when I'm done and pull it out again the next night if I can't sleep. Love the little thing.

      Supposedly the BittBoy with CFW is pretty good too, but I can't comment. AFAIK, the new "Pocket Go" one will be running the same OS as the CFW BittBoy, meaning it really comes down to which form factor you prefer, Game Boy, or Game Boy Micro.

    These were 36 a few days ago at the same site and I went to go buy one but then it was 40 USD.

    Will buy if you bring back down to 36 or lower, but this is just the standard price, and $4 more than it was a few days back.

    Edit: Have screenshot of it in my cart at that original price too.
