  • Has anyone been here before? I've never been to an izakaya where they've served really amazing food, pretty decent yes, but not great. Usually just a great place to catch up and drink.

    • what can I say, anywhere I've had Wagyu for under $60 it has been stringly and chewy. A $10 pub steak was better.

      top grade? pffth

may as well claim to sell solid gold for $10/kg.

    • Well generally you'd not go to an izakaya for yakiniku? more of a place to get drunk and have some japanese pub food. 居酒屋 Basically means 'home alcohol shop' so while they do have some food, the point is basically a cosy place to relax and drink / have some snacks, etc.

  • "huge Wagyu Beef Platter 370g top grade beef"

so is it beef platter + 370g top grade beef? or the platter is total 370g beef?

  • shrug may as well find a good butcher and buy whichever 'top grade beef' you want. Whether you're at this restaurant or at home, you'll be doing the cooking anyway.

  • sounds expensive to me for probably a very average steak that you gotta cook yourself..

  • It doesn't state what grade the meat is? Top grade? There is no such things as top grade wagyu.
If they use better grade wagyu (grade 9 to 12, 12 is the best grade), why they didn't state the grade proudly? Something is not right…

  • I'm no expert but I do enjoy Wyagu. And from that picture, it doesn't look like "top" or highest grade marbling to me.

  • it aint Wagyu
