  One thing this app does that's really good is that it flips the image if you need. Other than that I just use MX Player

  Any other free alternatives for an OFFLINE video player?
  - This one wants Full Network access and Record audio with Device ID & call information. So not keen.
  - VLC wants to Run on Startup with full access to my files and full Internet access. Even if Open Source, I don't want this build unless I build it myself but too lazy. No video player should require Run on Startup in my opinion.
  - MX Player has ads and Pro is $7.10

    I think you can trust VLC.
    It needs file access to play local video files.
    It needs internet access to play live stream video and audio.
